“Bunny, you are hurting yourself. I don’t like it. Stop.”
She stilled for a moment.
Bunny?
“Pet, listen to me,” a deep voice commanded.
Pet.
For some reason, she found herself obeying.
“That’s my good girl. You’re going to let me take control. Understand?”
She nodded again.
“I’m going to take command now, Pet. Your job is to listen and obey me.”
“Are you sure she’s awake enough for this?” the other man asked.
She searched for his name. Alexei.
Alexei and Salem.
Oh God. What had she done? Had she hurt one of them? Had she attacked them?
A whimper escaped her.
“It’s all right, when we play I take full control. Maybe she isn’t aware enough to use her safeword, though.”
“Didn’t mean that. I meant is she awake enough for us to let her go,” Alexei grumbled. “Don’t care about consent when she’s hurting herself.”
Salem just sighed. “We’re going to let go of you and you’re going to stay still. Understand me, Pet?”
She nodded.
The pressure on her limbs eased and she felt that tightness in her chest unravel.
She could breathe again. And she also became even more aware. Opening her eyes, she looked from Alexei’s frowning face to Salem’s concerned one.
Why were they both in bed with her? Hadn’t she gone to sleep last night with Salem?
What was going on?
“I . . . what happened?” she asked.
“You woke up swinging,” Alexei told her. “You nearly punched me in the nose and you were making this terrible noise. Like a wounded pig.”
She winced. Wow. She could only imagine how that sounded.
“Why?” he demanded. “What’s wrong?”
“Are you all right, Pet?” Salem added. “How is your head?”
Throbbing.
“Fine.”
“Fine?” Alexei grumbled as he sat up and pointed to his own forehead which looked red and sore. “How can it be fine when my head is aching?”
