Page 25 of Sire: On Your Knees

We barely had the car in park before Bria came rushing out of the house. "It took you long enough... Who is this?" She started to fuss until she spotted Noonie rounding the front of the car.

"Mind your business," I replied.

At the same time, Knovah decided to introduce herself and said, "I'm Noonie."

Bria stuck her tongue out at me, then turned to Noonie. "I'm Bria. Nice to meet you, girl." Without warning, she handed Brion to her. "I feel so much better knowing Sire's going to have some help."

I side-eyed her. "What you tryin' to say? I have always brought your son back in one piece."

She made a silly face. "The last time he came back, his diaper was on backward, and he was naked."

I shrugged. "It's not my fault he wanted to spit up on everything you packed him." I looked at Noonie. "Be careful with that one. He has a weak stomach. He explodes like a soda if you shake him up too much."

Bria laughed, smacking me on the arm. "Leave my baby alone." She shoved his diaper bag into my hands. "Okay, you know you can call me if you need anything. I'll only be a few hours."

We didn't even get the chance to respond because she ran off toward her red Honda Civic, sitting in the driveway. She stopped and came back to shower Brion in kisses. "Mama loves you, baby. Be good." Turning her attention to me, she said, "Thank you again, Sire. I don't know what I'd do without you."

"Don't mention it. Get gone."

She hugged me quickly before finally going to climb in her car. She was gone a minute later. I turned to find Noonie tickling Brion. His little giggles were cute, but I knew not to be fooled by how adorable he was. That baby was a menace in the making.

"And then there were three."

After draining my dick and washing my hands, I headed back to the living room. I slowed when I heard Noonie's voice. Sliding into the shadows, I watched her play with Brion on the floor. He was trying to crawl after her. The biggest smile was on both of their faces.

Since we'd arrived back at the penthouse, the two of them were inseparable. I didn't expect Noonie to be so good with him, but she was a natural nurturer. She even ordered me around afew times when it was his feeding time or he needed a diaper change.

She talked to Brion in the sweetest voice. Suddenly, I couldn't rid myself of silly thoughts like if I'd be a father one day. Would I get to experience this? Would I be like my father or better? Seeing Noonie in her element made me consider what it'd be like if she was the mother of my son or daughter. If this was any indication of the love she had to give, I knew our child would be the luckiest on the planet.

Shaking my head to rid myself of such thoughts, I walked into the living room. Noonie caught up to Brion and began bouncing him on her knee. He giggled while clapping his hands happily.

"How do you know Bria?" Noonie finally asked. I knew it was only a matter of time before her ass would get to asking questions.

I plopped down on the couch before kicking my feet up and lying down. Folding my arms behind my head, I stared up at the ceiling. "She wanted to work at Pleasures."

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw her face me. "Huh? She's so young."

"I know. That's why I wouldn't let her. Like a lot of young girls, she needed guidance and money to feed herself. I paid for her to go to school instead." I turned, glancing at Brion. "The baby wasn't a part of the plans, but she wanted to keep him. Honestly, I think he was good for her. He helped her slow her hot ass down because she was going nowhere fast."

Noonie eased closer to me. On her knees, in front of my face, she smiled widely. "Aww, who knew you were such a sweetheart?" she teased me.

I half smiled with a shake of my head. "Hush. I'm not all bad."

Returning her attention to Brion, she said, "I know." She went back to playing with the baby, and I went back to watching them.

After half an hour of doing so and becoming more intrigued by the second, I knew exactly what that orb of warmth in my chest meant. I'd fucked around and caught feelings for Knovah, and I wasn't sure what to do with them muthafuckas. I didn't do feelings, but I was quickly realizing that with her, there wasn't much I wouldn't do. Her presence in my life influenced me to become someone new. A man I didn't even recognize when I looked in the mirror. The scariest part was I hadn't decided if it was a good or bad thing yet.

Walking up on Sire in the living room watching TV, I stuck out my hand. "I need some money and your car keys."

One of his thin eyebrows lifted. "Say what now?"

I popped my hip out and placed my other hand on it. "I have an errand to run, and you're going to pay for it because I don't have a job."

He silently stared at me. I could see the wheels in his head spinning. He shrugged. "Alright, keys are hanging up in the garage. Please be careful." He lifted to pull his wallet out of his back pocket. I watched in excitement as he pulled off multiple crisp hundred-dollar bills. "Which reminds me, go get your nails and shit done while you're out. It's long overdue."

I frowned and folded my arms over my chest. "What are you trying to say? I look bad?"

Sire pulled me toward him with my belt loop. Sitting up, he stuck the money in my bra and winked. "The truth hurts."
