"Don't worry about it. I just threw you into my swimming pool. she laughed.
I gave her a small smile. "I promise to return these to you tomorrow," I assured her before going into the bathroom.
I removed my soaked clothes but kept my underwear on while changing.
I grabbed an extra towel from the rack to dry myself and pressed out additional moisture from my hair.
Putting on dry clothes improved my mood significantly. Although I remained irritated my body was now covered in warmer clothes. I needed to reach my home to find my shoes. The situation left me powerless to act since I refused to wear damp socks.
I set the towel next to the laundry before going back to my car to store my clothes. As I entered the party again all eyes turned toward me. The guys, especially. I looked down. My shirt showed more of my skin than I would have liked but taking it was the best option available.
The staring did not stop me as I headed back to the kitchen. I quickly picked up another Bud Light can and drank it in mere seconds.
I searched for someone to talk to while walking around after opening another beer. The beer flowed through my body and my liquid courage started to accumulate inside me.
Drinking alcohol made me talkative. A social butterfly let's say.
From the moment I entered the living room I scanned for potential conversation partners who were of the opposite gender.
My attention was drawn to a man who stood behind the couch when I entered the living room. He continued to talk with his friends, but their presence won't stop my approach.
Jaxon sitting on the couch in front of him seemed problematic but wasn't a real problem.
I wanted to approach him and slap him again but I resisted. He was busy anyway. He was occupied with a girl sitting on his lap who had her breasts against his face. I rolled my eyes as I approached the couch with my sights set on the person I wanted to talk to.
I had good fortune when he noticed me as I approached. I smirked at him before drinking my beer. His friends noticed his attention shift and then logically they left.
I moved toward him and started a conversation. Once that was resolved the night continued without any issues.
After having another beer, I became completely drunk within a few hours. It felt late but I couldn't determine the exact time.
My attention was completely on the man who stood before me. He stood right in front of me while sitting on the countertop.
I held him tight around his neck while we kissed. I had to admit. He was a good kisser.
I didn't want to stop. A few seconds of unyielding tapping on my thigh made me pull away.
"What?" I whined while my hands continued to rest upon his shoulders.
"We're all leaving now Em," Kylie interrupted without a second thought.
She made decisions for the group like a mom and I couldn't contradict her. I'd be arguing with a wall.
I fell back slightly as I grinned. "Okay." I agreed. I didn't care what his name was but he backed up so I got off the counter.
"Bye...uhm-" Shit. What was his name? Adrian? Aiden? Fuck I completely forgot.
I slurred "Bye..." as Kylie pulled me along.
The only memory I have of climbing into her car is that moment.
I spent the next morning in bed suffering from a severe headache.
The morning presented a stark reminder that school awaited me.
Well fuck.
