We are sad that Ivy needed to let out so much guilt, but hopeful for how our lives will change now.
I’m tangled up in someone, the bed beneath me unfamiliar.
It takes me a moment to remember last night and what occurred. Everything has changed. My mates are all together, life may call to us soon, but for now I am comfortably tangled in them.
Contentment seeps through me at the realization that it is a Saturday morning and we have nowhere to be. I reach across Ivy to touch Aspis, surprised that his tail isn’t wrapped around us, only to find that he isn’t there.
Huh, it’s daylight so maybe he is awake?
I gently untangle myself from Ivy and quickly use the bathroom before I go to look for Aspis.
I find him in the kitchen brewing coffee, the decadent smell enriching my already good mood. He looks so good, his torso and arms on display.
I notice that his mound is growing when he catches sight of me standing naked before him. Looking around the room, I spot his discarded t-shirt from last night and throw that on. It covers me completely, hitting my knees.
Hopefully that is enough to calm him down, I am in no shape for more sex right now.
“OK, OK, I get it.” He chuckles, watching me.
“Good morning.” I sigh, letting him wrap me up in his arms.
“Good morning, darling.” Aspis gently sets a cup of coffee to the side. “This is for you.”
I greedily pick it up, my mate forgotten, as I take a scalding sip.
Normally, I would start my day with tea. But we were up so much of the night that the caffeine is a welcome addition to my morning.
Aspis picks up two more cups and heads for the bedroom, so I follow along.
I’m always impressed by how Aspis maneuvers life with his giant tail trailing behind him. Even more so now, he manages to settle on the bed with the two cups still clasped in each hand.
My hooves can be annoying, but I’m grateful for my legs.
Ivy’s eyes blink open as the bed shifts and she snuggles right into Aspis. It warms my heart to see them like that together. Finding comfort in one another.
The sun beams pour into the room in rays of light and I settle at the end of the bed directly under one of them. Content to watch my mates.
Chapter 30
Ivy
I’m feeling a lot better about things in the light of day.
It’s cozy, and obviously waking up and snuggling right into my giant mate is amazing. His warm chest and sweet scent fill my senses.
Well, until my nose picks out the smell of freshly brewed coffee. That perks me up and I lift my head to see that Aspis is awkwardly holding two cups.
“Is one of those for me?” I ask sheepishly, a blush finding my cheeks.
“Sure is, princess.”
Wait… my cheeks… shit, my makeup is still on, isn’t it?
I quickly excuse myself to run to the bathroom. One glance in the mirror is enough. God, mating must really make you blind. How on earth are they looking at me like I’m the prettiest thing in the world with these panda eyes?
I use the bathroom and wash my face with cold water to wake myself up before joining them in the bed again. I make sure to give Matilda a lingering kiss before climbing in, I basically ran straight past her before.
Aspis passes me my coffee with a chuckle, but neither of them say anything about my freshly washed face and teeth.
