“So, why is Morgan a psychotic bitch today?” I asked as she wiggled out into traffic.

“She wanted to go with Creed, but of course that wasn’t going to happen. So now she is making my life a living hell instead of his. This morning, she cried because Magnus didn’t come see her…then...” She took a deep breath. “Let’s just say she’s mad because I wouldn’t do everything Creed does for her.”

I tilted my head. “She’s pregnant with twins and she’s huge. Of course she needs help.”

Melissa about killed us when she glanced at me. I swear she almost ran off the interstate, but she denied it. “She can’t reach her pussy to wash it, Irons. She wanted me to take a shower with her.”

I burst into laughter.

She about killed us when she glanced at me again. “You think it’s funny, but she’s serious, Irons. Creed already had a bidet attachment put on the toilet for her because she’s so fucking huge she can’t wipe her own self. It is not in my job description to wash or shave any kitties. That’s not all, the bitch is horny. Poor Creed has been falling asleep at work because she’s constantly all over him. The woman is a monster, if she’s not horny, she’s hungry, if she’s not hungry or horny, she’s crying. She’s a lot more spoiled than we already thought. Talk about a diva, holy shit it’s unbelievable.”

I shrugged. “It has to be frustrating to be that big. Maybe have a little patience, and I don’t know, book a spa day and they can take care of that beaver for you.”

She glanced at me again and I thought I saw fire in those eyes. “For me? I have my own beaver, dammit. It’s not my beaver to take care of, it’s hers and Creed's. Not my problem. But yeah, that’s actually a good idea.”

“Just book it and I’ll take her if nobody else will.” I volunteered.

“She made Patrick cry this afternoon, Magnus threw up after she farted in the car again, and Addie tried to stow away and go with Creed. She cried when Creed left, not because she was going to miss her daddy, but because Morgan is driving her crazy. Of course, Creed thinks she’s as beautiful as ever and does no wrong. Love is as blind as a fucking bat.”

I laughed. Melissa was one of the good ones, and she had plenty of patience for kids, but not so much for adults.

“Oh, and Morgan met the new girl and cried for two days after she left. She thinks she won’t be the prettiest girl on Creed’s Lake anymore.”

My heart stopped. I was wondering about Wrenly, but I didn’t get an update. I guess Creed going to California was why I hadn’t heard back from him after Wrenly was due to leave.

“The new girl?”

I glanced at Melissa, and she rolled her eyes. “Well, she hasn’t accepted yet. She’s very nice and Morgan liked her a lot. She was a bit jealous of her body, but who wouldn’t be, you know? Drakos is on cloud nine and thinks she would give him the time of day.”

“So, umm…what did you think of her?” I was almost too nervous to ask.

“I liked her a lot. She’s very kind, and didn’t stare at me like I had two heads. She got a kick out of Patrick, and she got along really good with Steph. Addie kept asking her why she ate crayons and sniffed markers, and that was funny. Of course, all the guys were drooling. I can’t really deny it, if I were gay I’d totally tap that ass.”

I couldn’t help but laugh at her.

“She looked happy and healthy? Like, she’s okay?” I couldn’t help but ask.

Melissa glanced at me. “That’s a weird question.”

I shrugged. “I mean, she’s not bringing any baggage? What about a boyfriend or is there someone else in her life?”

Melissa glanced at me again. “She’s single, and yeah, those are totally weird questions. She had no problem smiling and laughing at Patrick with us, so I’d say she seems fine. What’s up with those weird questions?”

I shrugged. “I don’t know, just curious. What all did she do when she was visiting?”

She still looked confused. “I don’t know, all the usual stuff. She visited the club one evening with Morgan and the other wives. We had a fight night she attended with her partner, Stone. He’s a nice guy too. Do you have any questions about him?”

Yeah, was he involved with her?

“Not really, I read his profile.”

She pulled into Creed’s Lake and did the regular checking in before we pulled forward. After that, I didn’t question anything more about Wrenly. I had her take me to see Addie first so I could give her the five small stuffed animals I got for her in Australia.

Decisions

Wrenly

My dad was sitting across from me at the kitchen table, waiting for me to tell him what I found out and what I decided.
