“Tuesday.”
My smile behind this mask is so big. Sliding my phone out of my pocket, I hand it to her. “Put your number in here so I can tell you where to meet me.”
“You’re not picking me up?” She raises an eyebrow.
“You’re really eager to be trapped with me, huh?”
She chuckles, grabbing my phone. “I want you to pick me up.”
“I’ll pick you up, then. Where do you live?”
“Lake View Apartments.”
“When I was your age, I lived there,” I tell her, amused by the coincidence, and I think about how my buddy Jake now owns the building.
Her eyes light up as she bites her lip, clearly pleased with this new detail. “So, how old are you?”
“I’ll tell you on Tuesday.”
“Are you under forty?” She arches a brow, not letting me off the hook so easily.
“Are you used to getting everything you want?”
“I am the baby.”
“I thought you didn’t like that word.”
“I told you. Context.”
Fuck it.I yank her barstool closer to mine, closing the space between us, and lean in. “I want to give you everything you want.”

Holy shit. “Okay, Buttons,” I tease, trying to play it cool, but I’m freaked out by how turned on I am right now.
“Okay, little bunny,” he growls in response, his voice low and rough.
“So, Tuesday,” I manage to say, finishing my drink. I need to leaveright nowbecause if I don’t, I might actually jump into his lap.I want to give you everything you want.Yeah … no guy in his twenties has ever said that to me. Buttons is a full-on zaddy.
“I’ll call you with the details.”
Call. Not text. The fact that he said "call" hits different.
“Thank you for the drinks,” I say, standing up, my head spinning with everything that just happened.
“Can I walk you out?” he offers.
Oh my God … does he … are we going to kiss? But how? He’s still wearing the mask. He said he wouldn’t reveal himself until Tuesday.Maybe I’ll get another clue as to who he really is.I’m too curious now.
“Sure.”
The man in the bunny mask slides off his barstool and immediately takes my hand. I instinctively giggle.
“Too weird?”
“No. What a sight.”
He’s guiding us toward the back of the bar, not the front. We are going to kiss! This is not how I thought today was going to go.
