Either way, I couldn’t get enough of taking what I wanted and watching how Ivan was already boneless beneath me.
“Fucking hell…” He uttered while his fingers tensed against my hips to start guiding my movements, unable to resist it either.
With the sudden rush of extra sensations flooding me from his encouragement, I moaned and leaned my forehead against his. Even if our bodies were pressed together through it all, it felt like we couldn’t get close enough. Nothing was enough.
“You’re too captivating for your own good…” Ivan panted out, barely able to meet my gaze, while he urged my hips to keep moving. It was enough for me to see the almost dream-like haze consuming him, and something about it had me moving faster with his help. A lazy grin moved across his lips. “Go on, wife…take us there.”
Spurred on, I took his words to heart and let my body take over, chasing after the release we both wanted more than anything. At the moment, nothing seemed to exist except for the two of us and the concentrated pleasure between us.
Between the rippling sensations and the freeing nature of our tipsy states, it didn’t take much to get lost in it, feeling reduced to hands seeking something to grab, limbs moving on their own accord, and breaths panting against lips.
Hearing his broken breaths and mumbled affirmations only made me want to bring us both to the edge faster, finding myself wanting to please him. To show him I wanted it just as much.
That final wave hit me before I could try to hold out, making me clench around him while my hips stuttered beyond my control. My fingers clutched his shoulders while my whole body tensed and I moaned against his neck, coming undone in his arms.
It was a blur aside from the overwhelming pleasure, letting myself float within its addictive essence.
Ivan’s tight grip on my hips kept me grounded enough to register as he groaned and spilled inside me, breathing hard while he tried to catch his breath.
Slumped against him, I made no attempts to move at first, even after he softened and pulled out of me. Instead, I leaned into his strong frame and granted myself the chance to soak in that peace.
After a few beats of silence, I pulled back enough to glance down at the smear of color between our bodies, feeling as it started to dry against our skin.
Our eyes met while we continued to catch our breath, exchanging that knowing look before Ivan cracked an amused grin and chuckled.
Still vaguely hazy and more carefree than usual, I joined in and let him pull me closer, feeling light and at ease.
For a moment, I forgot all about our less-than-ideal arrangement, and it felt as if our connection really did come from a genuine place. It was just us, and that was all I cared about.
Chapter 21 - Ivan
Standing in the middle of the outskirts of the city under the hot sun while we waited for a trade to go down wasn’t exactly how I wanted to spend my time, especially not when my thoughts were predominantly on Daria.
At the very least, I wasn’t alone while Lev, Dima, and Nik waited around with me alongside our guards. If I had to suffer, then at least that meant they did too. There was camaraderie to be found in agony, and boy, did we ever find it during those moments.
Even if she wasn’t there with me, thinking about my wife helped pass the time, even if I couldn’t voice any of it out loud.
As much as I wasn’t one to admit something so mushy to even myself, I was on cloud nine about how things were going between me and Daria.
After deciding to be less stubborn and actually put in a shred of effort, she was much more receptive, and while that didn’t matter to me before, my priorities shifted ever since I realized her happiness translated to my own.
That wasn’t something I had ever thought about before, but with my previous attempts to get under her skin and the way our fights always left me in a sour mood, I was getting sick of it. That desire I had for revenge somehow managed to dissolve, and my interest morphed so completely before I could even try to stop it.
It was out of character for me to care, especially after everything Daria had done. Yet, I liked that change more than I ever would’ve guessed.
I never thought I’d find myself in the position of being a husband, and one who actually enjoyed his wife at that. It had been a foreign concept to me before, but I didn’t mind it.
I felt Lev's gaze on me for a moment before he spoke with an amused gleam in his eyes. "Someone looks rough this morning."
Personally, I thought I had been doing a decent enough job at hiding the remnants of my hangover and lack of sleep due to my night with Daria, but it seemed I was overly confident in that department.
"Long night?" Dima added with a snicker.
"You could say that."
My brothers all looked at me with interest, pushing a bit further.
"Getting busy the night before a big trade, huh? Can't say I blame you," Nik chided while he absently stroked his chin. "If I were you, I would've kept myself busy for a bit longer and skipped this part altogether."
