“I’m so sorry—“ she stammers nervously.
I grin and shake my head, “No, Ruslana, it's beautiful. It’s completely normal for your first time. Don’t be sorry at all.”
In fact, the sight of her virgin blood on my cock is turning me on again.
I want to have her over and over again—to never have to be without her. I want to hold her, possess her—
I lean back slightly, looking down at her. How do I explain how I feel?
How do I tell her that I want more—I want to be with her—that she has touched my heart?
My phone rings loudly, jarring into the air in an intrusive blare of noise.
I reach over to where it's lying on the floor next to my pants and press it against my ear. The intrusion is annoying, but Dex doesn’t call me for no reason. He is the type of man who willmessage before he dials. So, if he's calling—it’s something that needs my attention.
“Dex,” I say into the phone. Still looking at Ruslana.
“Sir, there’s been an attack at one of the warehouses. I think you should come down here if you can. I’m dealing with it, but it’s a fucking mess—and I want to show you something,” Dex says, sounding heavily burdened with what he’s seen.
“I’m on my way. I’m coming straight from the office in town, so I won’t be long. Just hang in there.”
Pushing off the sofa, away from Ruslana, I explain in a hurry that something has happened, and we have to go.
I wish I could have stayed lying next to her for longer, but this—I have to attend to this.

My head is spinning with thoughts as we drive towards the scene.
I glance over to her, sitting quietly in the passenger seat, looking out of the window. I want to reach out and place my hand on her thigh, but that will distract me even more.
I’m trying to clear my mind of what just happened with Ruslana so that I can pay attention to this issue at the warehouse. But her body, the way she gave herself to me—it’s like a haunting dream—a heavy fog clouding my thoughts and my vision. She is a drug, and she has me addicted to her after one dose.
I try again to push the images of her from my mind.
What do I need to focus on? What do I need to figure out? I start running through questions in my mind. I don’t have theanswers, but the process of asking them helps me focus and stop thinking about the incredible sex we just had.
Who is doing this? Who is behind these attacks?
We haven’t been attacked like this is a long time. Is there a new enemy in town?
It’s not a far drive and we arrive at the warehouse quickly.
Climbing out of the car, I run into the building with Ruslana close behind me. Dex meets me at the front entrance and leads me to the men who were injured. In the corner, I see the men who were killed, covered with sheeting that is bright red, stained with their blood. I bite back the anger inside me.
“How many did we lose?” I ask quietly, leaning over a man who has a bullet wound in his leg.
“Three good men,” Dex says tightly. “The ambulance is on the way for the others.”
I look over the men who have been given basic first aid. They all look ok. Injured, bleeding, in pain—but they will live. They were luckier than the others.
I turn my attention back to Dex.
“Fuck. Who was it? Who did this?” I snap angrily. I hate that I wasn’t here to protect them. I hate that my men have to face these dangers. Our world is never safe—but I do the best I can for my people.
“Look here,” he points to a shell casing, a unique bullet. Something rare and not easy to get your hands on. “This is what I wanted to show you.”
“It’s the same gun that was used in the last shooting. During that collection,” I say darkly. “It’s the same people behind the first attackandthis one.”
