“OK.”
I thought I would get some pushback from her and I’m relieved that she is content to stay. I leave her to get dressed and return to the office, calling Anders through to arrange some dinner for her. It’s not long before she is sat on the couch, legs tucked under her, looking relaxed which puts a smile on my face. Anders returns, knocking before walking in with some food.
“I picked up Thai for you Miss Taylor, I hope that’s ok.” She looks up at him and smiles.
“Thank you, you can call me Kelcie.” Anders looks across at me, then back to her.
“Would you like a drink, Miss Taylor? I can have a glass of wine brought up for you.” His repeat of her name lets her know that he won’t be calling her Kelcie. It’s the way he has always been. He never used my grandfather’s wife’s first name either, always Mrs DeMarco and always used Boss for my grandfather. She sighs in frustrated acceptance. It will take her time to get used to this. She politely accepts the offer and Anders looks at me, states the word whisky and I give him a nod.
Shortly after there is a knock on the door, one of the waiting girls walks in with a tray and our drinks. As she walks in, her eyes widen as she realises who I am. I don’t normally have the waiting staff bring drinks to me in here, andI’ve managed to keep it so that most didn’t know who I was. That was always going to change when I took over the business and even more so now that I have Kelcie. She walks to my desk and places the drink down, before turning to see where the wine is to go. As she notices Kelcie, her eyes widen yet again, and a grin crosses her face.
“Lucy,” Sarah acknowledges and places the drink down. She pauses, standing and looking at Kelcie, who doesn’t say anything in return. I clear my throat, and Sarah turns to me.
“Could I get you anything else Sir?”
“That’s all thank you.” I see Kelcie’s lips purse and I know she’s pissed off. As Sarah leaves, she takes a sip of her wine. I can see her trying to organise the words she wants to say in her head.
“What the fuck Gabriel? Now she knows I’m fucking the boss, that’s not going to go down well is it!” Her words are sharp and the annoyance in her tone makes me smirk.
“They were going to find out at some point, and I’ve told you that you don’t have to work.”
“But I want to and now that’s going to be awkward.”
“Well, I’ve had your shifts changed anyway.” She stares at me, trying to control her anger. “If you are going to continue working then it needs to be at times when I will be here. That’s my condition.”
“Your condition. CONDITION.” Her raised voice removes the smirk from my face and my eyes lock onto hers. I stand and walk over to her, I can see her chest start to quickly rise andfall. I lean down placing my hands on either side of her, my face cm’s away from hers.
“You’re mine, and if you insist on continuing to work, then you can have the 4pm-10pm shift Mon-Sat, meaning I can protect you at all times.” Her eyes stay locked with mine and her lips have slightly parted to take deeper breaths in. “Do you understand?” She replies with a nod. I lean in closer and kiss her softly, her lips returning the kiss.
“Now, eat your food and relax I won’t be much longer.” I try not to make it sound like a demand, but it still does.
Fourteen
Kelcie
Isit in silence with my wine. I ate my food not because he commanded that I do, but because I was hungry. He can be demanding which can piss me off, but the way he strode over to me didn’t scare me but excite me, my body igniting ready for him to take control of it. I never imagined that I would want anything like this, but I am willing and want to give him what he wants, and I can’t deny I like doing it. I sit watching him as he works and find myself completely relaxed and content. Something I can’t recall feeling for years, if at all. I never felt comfortable in my parent’s home, the pressure of them always wanting me to do more, achieve more, was too much for me to bear. After watching my father work himself into the ground, I knew I wasn’t going to do something that resulted in working sixty-plus hours a week. Working that hard, spending all that time working and then dying before you could enjoy retirement, enjoy life, wasn’t an option for me. I want to enjoy my life, so the plan is to leave London and go somewhere that’s a slower pace, calm, warm. I tell myself that is still the plan, I’m still working and when Gabriel hashad enough of me and I lose my job, that’s when I will leave. So, I may as well have some decent sex before I go. My mind replays our time in the shower, considering how many times he has made me come it’s the first time that he has been completely naked, and his body was better than I imagined.
His broad shoulders chiselled back and arms, which compliment his defined sculpted chest and stomach made my mouth dry just looking at him. I ran my fingertips over each muscle, feeling every indentation, permanently committing every inch of him to memory. I felt his core tense when I moved lower, tracing the V line of his lower abs. Feeling my whole body lighten a soft smile spreads on my lips as my eyes become heavy and as much as I try and fight it, I can’t stop them from closing.
I’m unsure of how much time passes as I feel a hand brush my face, opening my eyes, he’s beside me slowly running his fingers along my cheek.
“Come on I’ll take you home.” His words are soft and peaceful. Helping me to my feet he wraps his arm around me. Even though I fell asleep on a couch I had a peaceful sleep.
“What time is it?”
“It’s gone 1am.”
We leave the bar, and his car is waiting outside for us, I haven’t woken up properly, the hazy, sleepy feeling still present when suddenly an eerie sensation takes over me. Scanning the streets, I think I see someone across the road watching us, I rub my eyes trying to focus them. The streetlight is out, causing me to strain mygaze and furrow my brow. Gabriel’s grip on my arm tightens when he notices my expression.
“What is it?”
“Nothing, I thought I just saw something. It doesn’t matter.” I try and brush it off putting it down to not being fully awake yet. He turns and looks at Anders who sets off across the road.
“Get in the car.”
He forces me in and shuts the door behind me the driver instantly locking it. I try and look out the windows to see what’s happening but can’t see anything. After a few minutes, the car is unlocked, and Gabriel gets in.
“What’s happening?” I can’t stop my voice from sounding panicked.
