“Help her!” Davon demanded angrily. “She’s pregnant! You just shoved her nose in sweaty ballsack, dude! What did you think was going to happen?”
“Watch your fucking tone!” Geo growled, then backhanded Davon. “Mig, get her cleaned up! Let him go, Carlos. Go get cleaned up! Hurry up and get back in here, I have a job for you three!”
Chapter 13
Sailor sobbed as Mig carried her back to the bathroom and the shower.
When she came out again, she was back in the hoodie and yoga pants.
“There are dresses…” Mig shook his head.
“If he complains, I’ll tell him it was me!” she yelled angrily, still trying to stop her tears.
Mig snorted but yanked her back out front.
The boys were all gone, and Geo was standing and talking to a small group of men. Mig shoved her back to the couch, then thrust a plate of chicken at her.
Sailor shook her head rapidly. “I’ll throw up again if you don't…”
He moved it back quickly, set her drink near her, and backed away.
Geo finally sat back down and glanced at her. “You need ta eat, Rue. You have nothing in you now and…”
“You should have thought of that before you made me throw up!” she told him furiously.
His hand seemed to come out of nowhere, and she flinched and jerked too late. Her hands went to her bleeding nose as Mig quickly held out napkins.
When she finally stopped bleeding and tilted her head to where she could see again, Geo was standing with the group of men again, talking quietly.
Mig spoke softly. “What do you want to eat if not chicken?” he asked, brandishing his phone.
Sailor shook her head. “Please, I really can’t eat right now! It will come right back up if I put anything on my stomach. Once it starts, it just takes a day or two to go away, then I can eat again. Please?”
“If you don't try, you’ll piss him off more. Just pick anything. Burger? Tacos? Soup?”
“Oh god,” she breathed, shaking her head. Rolling, she made it off the couch to the ground before her stomach heaved again, and she threw up bile onto the floor.
“Get her to her fucking bed,” Geo yelled. “Stupid fucking cunt!”
Mig carried her back to her room and the bed, tucking her in professionally before leaving her alone. Half an hour later, he brought her a Sprite, but she threw that up too.
It took more than 24 hours for her stomach to settle down enough to get out of bed and move around, let alone eat. She was exhausted again, but mostly, she ached as Mig turned on the hot water in the shower for her.
“Why?” she asked him, disoriented as he tried to get her to wash herself.
“He wants you out there.”
“What… what day is it?”
“Monday. Monday night. I have soup ready for you, come on. Clean up.”
Sailor washed, then let him help her into sweatpants and a tank top.
It was dark out, and the room was packed as Mig led her out front.
Geo saw her coming and moved to the sofa but didn’t stop talking to the man he was talking to even as Mig sat her down. He gave her a bowl of soup, and Sailor blinked at it sleepily, thentook a bite.
Looking around, she noticed that Davon was there, Justin and Phoenix standing back with him. He was watching her, his expression pissed. Not at her, but in general.
