“As long as I get to be with you, I don’t mind,” Grayson says as he pushes some of my hair back.
“Thank you for this.” I don’t know why I’m thanking her, but I feel like it’s right. He didn’t have to come all this way, but he did, just to sing the song he wrote for me.
“Anything for you.” He leans in and kisses me.
Of course, my heart flutters as our lips touch; this is one of the best moments of my life. It’s also nice to know he’s great at redemptions but it’s bad because I’m never going to be able to stay mad at him.
After eating our croissants, sitting for a while, and then finally eating at more tables, we finally go over to the dance floor. The dancing has died down since a slow song is playing. “I’m only doing one of these,” I tell Gray as we make it to the floor. Gray pulls out some shades, some really nice shades.
“Seriously, shades inside?” I ask.
“Yeah, they are awesome, try them,” Gray tells me, and I reach and pull them off his face and slide them onto mine. Once the shades are over my eyes, I see these shades are amazing. They give the perfect color and shade lens over it and the right amount of light. They are great.
“I’m stealing these,” I state.
“No, you aren’t because I have two pairs, so you can keep them.” Gray shrugs and pulls out another pair of shades.
“Oh my god, I can’t believe Grayson Archer is giving me shades.” I fake fangirl.
“Yeah, yeah.” Gray rolls his eyes, and right at this moment, a MorningStar song starts playing. They would play that now.
“Oh look, that's my band.” Gray twirls me around.
“Of course they play your band,” I say and go along with his dancing.
“My music is amazing,” he gloats.
We dance to his song and Gray pulls me in and gives me a quick kiss. This is amazing.
“Attention everyone. It’s time to announce the prom king and queen,” a teacher announces on the stage and people, mostly girls, pile toward the front.
“We should go,” I say. I know after they do this there will be like three more songs and then the dance will be over.
“Ice cream?” Gray proposes.
“Definitely.”
We exit the dance and floor, and I see Faith over by a table and walk over to her. “We’re going to go get ice cream. Do you wanna come?” I ask.
“I would love to get out here, if that's okay with Gray.” Faith looks over at him.
“I wouldn’t mind if you came.” Gray shrugs.
“Great, let’s go,” Faith says excitedly, and we all head to leave.
“How will we leave? The limo brought us here,” Faith says.
“One moment.” I pull out my phone and text Lia, and she tells me she’s going out after and we can take the limo because she has a ride back home.
“We can go,” I state before we all leave out the doors.
We go to Cold Stone, and we all get different flavors. Faith got vanilla, Gray gets Rocky Road, and I get Cookie Dough. I even decided to put some sprinkles on mine. We all sit and enjoy our ice cream and talk about our experience tonight.
We arrive home, and surprisingly, Stephan and Mom aren’t up, so I get a blanket and pillows for him. “Do you have anything for the night?” I whisper.
“It’s at my hotel, which I will go to in the morning. Also, I’m supposed to tell you the beginning of May is when the premier is happening,” Gray tells me.
“Thank you for telling me.” I smile, walking closer to Gray and placing my arms around his shoulders.
