“No, I didn’t. Only because we might have to watch a movie quietly in your room while Jesse is sleeping on the bus or something. Why else would I join you in a bed?”

I love it when she flirts with me, which Tati does a lot more since we watchedCasino Royalein my bed. Shedefinitelyknows the reason I want her in a bed with me, and it’s not to watch a movie, though I wouldn’t say no to that if she wanted to.

“Why don’t you join me and find out?” I suggest.

“Because I’m meant to be protecting you, and I can’t very well do that if I’m in bed with you.” She shrugs her shoulders casually as she says it.

I imagine her here in the bed with me and fight an erection at the thought. It’s the basis of all of my fantasies these days.

I also try to poke a hole in her argument. “Fine, but I’d argue that if you were in bed with me, that’s probably the best way to protect me, because you’d beright there.”

Tatiana smirks at me. “If you really think that I could focus on protecting you while we were in bed together, then I don’t think I’m very interested in being in a bed with you after all.”

I can’t think of a comeback to that because she makes a good point, as disappointing as that is.

“Damn. Checkmate, I guess. I find myself with the option of saying I’m bad in bed or that I can’t have you in my bed,” I laugh as I stand up.

“I am very curious which option it is, though.” She raises an eyebrow at me.

I walk over to stand in front of her before I slowly run my gaze over her body. I take in every inch of her, and I’m very satisfied with her physical response to me as usual.

“I got out of the bed, didn’t I?” I grin at her.

“Was that supposed to be an answer?”

She’s playing with fire, and I think she knows it because she’s given me an opportunity to give a very sexual answer.

“Did you want me totellyou exactly how many orgasms I would give you? How I would make you come so hard that you got dizzy? How I wouldn’t possibly let you out of bed unless you were completely and utterly satisfied?”

I revel in the way she responds to my words. Her cheeks redden, and her body stiffens while she stares at me with wide eyes and arousal written all over her face.

“Because I’m more than happy to tell you those things, Tatiana. I would make sure that you were very, verydistracted if you were in a bed with me.” I stare into her eyes for a few more moments, knowing we have to leave and loving the way she responds to me. Finally, I turn on my heel and tell her casually as I walk away, “Let’s go to dinner.”

Tatiana groans softly, “You’re killing me, Hayden.”

I laugh, pleased to think of her being wet and wishing she’d taken me up on my offer all evening as I lead the way to Sebastian’s suite. Both of us tone down the flirting around anyone else because I know it’s inappropriate, and I don’t want to cause trouble for Tati.

Harrison opens the door when we get there and says, “Hey, guys.”

“Hi, Harrison.” I smile at him.

We walk into the living room, where Sebastian’s sitting on a sofa next to Lita and Ariana, who’s holding Mirabellaand smiling down at her. Gabriel’s sitting in an armchair, and Harrison walks over to sit in another one. Everyone has alcoholic drinks except Lita, who’s drinking water because she’s breastfeeding.

“Hey, guys,” I say to the group. After we exchange greetings, I ask, “What was the decision for dinner in the end?”

“We’ve got a booking in the hotel restaurant in half an hour, then we’re coming back here to play poker so Lita can put Mira to bed,” Sebastian tells me. “Do you want a drink?”

“Sure.” I nod at him.

Sebastian stands and walks over to a fridge where he gets me a drink before he calls out, “Bottle of water for you, Tatiana?”

I’m pleased that my friends have accepted Tati’s place in my life, and it’s a reminder of how glad I am that Blake isn’t a part of it anymore.

“Yes, thank you,” she smiles at him.

“It’s nice to have someone to stay sober with,” Lita says.

“Not a fan of being the only non-drunk person in the room, Lita?” I laugh.
