“Thanks, I like it—oh, hey, Dec!”

I’ve been watching the brunette again, and I look up to see Declan Perry from Evening Star standing in front of us. He has a jittery look about him that makes me think he’s been snorting drugs in the bathroom before he got here, and he’s got a blonde woman on one arm and a brunette woman on the other.

“Sebastian Fox and Hayden Vega, what isup!” he yells loudly with a wild grin on his face. “Ladies, meet my friends from Cruise Control. You might have heard of them.”

He winks at us while the women giggle, and the blonde says, “Yeah, we have.”

“Guys, this is Naomi”—he nods to the brunette woman—“and Janelle,” he says as he nods to the blonde woman. Declan sits down next to me on the banquette and has the two women sit on his lap. “So, how have you guys been?”

“Yeah, good. You?” Hayden asks.

Declan smirks at him, then looks at the two women. “I mean, my night is definitely going well.” He turns to look at us again. “No one for you guys?”

“I’m just here to have a good time.” Hayden shrugs.

“Hayden’s idea of a good time is very different to ours, Dec.” I grin at him.

“Want one?” Declan asks. “I’m happy to share.”

It would be easier than hitting on the woman I’ve been checking out. Both the women on Declan’s lap are looking me over and seem interested enough. I decide that Naomi seems like fun to spend time with.

“Come here, Naomi,” I say with a smile at her.

She slides onto my lap, and I put my arms around her waist while I talk to the guys. After about half an hour and another drink of whisky, I kiss Naomi. It's okay, nothing special, and I find myself comparing it to kissing Lita last night.

I curse myself internally because I shouldn’t be thinking about her, and my brain helpfully supplies an image of her disappointed face when I told her to go and shower this morning. I break my kiss with Naomi and sigh.

“Everything okay?” she asks me.

I force myself to smile at her and nod. “Of course, gorgeous. Want to go somewhere quieter?”

“Sure.” She smiles back at me.

I take her hand and say to the guys, “I’ll see you later.”

I lead her away from the VIP area and downstairs. There are some booths in a quiet, dark corner, and we’re lucky enough that one of them is free. I slide into it, and Naomi follows me.

“Did you have any of the drugs Dec was on?” I ask her.

The guys and I never got hooked on hard drugs, and I’m glad. We’ve had plenty offered to us, but we’ve all seen the way it’s affected some of our friends in the industry. I know it causes issues within Declan’s band, Evening Star, as well.

Naomi shakes her head. “No.”

“How many drinks?”

“Two. Why?”

I smile at her and look her over. “Just wanted to make sure you were lucid enough to consent to fucking me. Do you want to fuck me, Naomi?”

“Yes,” she says and smiles at me.

I kiss her again, and when I close my eyes, images of Lita come to my mind. I’m getting aroused, so I let them play because it’s easier than trying to fight it. Naomi is hot enough, but she has nothing on the woman I was here with last night. Now is not the time for me to dissect exactly why I’m still thinking about her, though.

When Naomi is bouncing up and down on my lap, I’m again bombarded with images of Lita from last night and this morning, and the thought of her is enough to make me come. I move Naomi off me, pull the condom off, and clean up.

“Thanks. That was fun.”

I walk away, then toss the used condom in a trash can as I head back to the VIP area to find Hayden. As I cross the dance floor, memories of kissing Lita play in my head, and I’m frustrated because I shouldn’t be thinking of her at all. I just want to find Hayden and leave. I’m over this shit.
