“And if she wants a feed?” He raised an eyebrow at her.

“She’s still all yours. You’d better start lactating quickly,” Lita teased him.

Sebastian laughed and hugged Lita. “Okay, we’ll go. Call me if you need me, and I’ll come home immediately.”

“Just go already. We want to talk about you,” Heather told him in an exasperated tone.

“About me?” Sebastian asked with a grin.

“Maybe. You could be a hot topic of conversation at girls’ night, but you’ll never know because you’re going to leave now,” she smirked at him.

Sebastian stood up and turned to look at her. “Okay, I get the hint. We’re leaving. But you want to be nice to me, Heather Fletcher, or I won’t text you.”

“Oh please, you’ll be dying to text me, and I might just leave you on read to spite you,” she teased him.

“The ultimate threat,” Ariana laughed.

They exchanged a final round of goodbyes before getting into the elevator, along with Jesse and Daryl Kelly, Sebastian’s bodyguard.

As the elevator made its way down to the parking garage, Hayden asked, “Just what are you going to be texting Heather?”

“I’m going to text her about how your insanely jealous boyfriend reacts to your hot bodyguard situation.”

Heat rushed to her cheeks at Sebastian’s words, and she saw both Daryl and Jesse sneak a glance at her. She figured there was no point in pretending she hadn’t heard that, so she turned to face Sebastian and smiled innocently at him.

“Do you think Blake might have a problem with Jesse?”

Hayden laughed and winked at Jesse. “Looking good, Jesse.”

“Thanks, Mr. Vega,” Jesse chuckled.

Sebastian didn’t back down. Instead, he met her gaze and said, “No, I don’t think Blake will have a problem with Jesse, but I do think that any mention of you making out with him will make for a very interesting night.”

“Sebastian,” Hayden said in a warning tone, glaring at him as the elevator dinged and the doors slid open.

“I didn’t say I was going to say anything like that, jesus.” Sebastian exited the elevator and called, “Let’s hope for a boring night, I guess!”

My love,

I listen to your songs so often, and I resent Gabriel for singing so many of them. I know that he’s your friend, but surely you see how he takes the attention away from you, who rightfully deserves it.

I wish that I could have the Cruise Control albums with just your vocals, so I could listen to only your perfect voice. It would be the most amazing thing ever to have an entire album of only you singing. When we’re together, I know you will sing for me. You can write songs about our love and play them for me.

I see our future together, and it is amazing. I am holding on to that future so tightly to get me through to when we’re finally together. I hope that you look forward to it as much as I do.

I promise to be yours forever.

XOXO
