“I don’t really have time for sex,” she laughs.

“You’d better go now, then,” I grin at her. “Or I’ll strip those clothes off you, tie you to the bed for the next five hours, and you’ll be very late for work.”

“What’s the point in being the boss if you can’t be five hours late for work because you’ve been busy having sex all morning?” she jokes.

I laugh and kiss her again before she gets out of the bed, collects her things, and walks out the door. I miss her already.

The Night in Question

We touch down at LAX around midday and the paparazzi go nuts as they follow us through the airport. It’s just the guys and Ariana with me, since Heather’s in New York for Saturday Night Live. I miss her so much, and I can’t wait to see her when we’re both back in Chicago tomorrow.

“Where have you guys been?” the first reporter calls.

“Is there any truth to the rumor that you’re splitting up?” someone else asks.

Sebastian turns to laugh at the man who asked this. “Does it look like we’re splitting up?”

“What about Heather? Is it true you’re sleeping with her?” someone else asks.

“Do you really think I’d look this pretty if I was sleeping with Harrison’s fiancée?” He turns his head to grin at me.

I smirk at him and point out, “You can’t sing if your jaw’s wired shut, so I’d have to avoid punching your face anyway.”

We burst into laughter and continue on our way to the limousine that’s taking us to the hotel for the charity event tonight.

When we’re safely inside, Hayden shakes his head at us. “You shouldn’t engage with them. They’ll believe whatever they want to believe.”

“Exactly,” Sebastian says. “So whether we tell them the truth, ignore them, or lie our asses off, it doesn’t make a difference.”

“Technically, neither of you denied it. I bet they’ll have noticed that,” Gabriel says and rolls his eyes.

“I could never deny Heather being my lover,” Sebastian gasps dramatically. “Howdareyou insinuate that she isn’t.”

I work hard to keep my face straight and affect an outraged tone as I say, “It’s just plain rude, really, and I thought you were his friend, Gabriel.”

I tut at him and shake my head, managing to hold back my laughter until Gabriel rolls his eyes at us. Sebastian starts laughing as well, and I high-five him.

As much as I love Galena, and dislike big celebrity events like tonight’s function, I feel like I’m on a high. I know exactly why that is, and my face splits into a grin as I remember that I’m going to see my angel tomorrow. I’ve missed her so much. Even though she visited me on the weekends, a month was too long to be apart from her.

I pull out my phone to send her a text.

How was the flight to New York?

It’s not long before she replies.

Good. Yours to LA?

Yeah, it was fine. I miss you. I can’t wait to see you tomorrow.

I can hear the conversation carrying on around me, but I’m focused on my phone as the three dots show me that Heather is typing a response.

Me either. I wish I was on my knees in front of you right now.

I shift in my seat and fight the arousal flooding to my crotch from the image she’s put in my head.

I’m in the car with the guys. I’ll call you when I get to the hotel.
