Cruise Control’s lead singer, Gabriel Knight, has also been seen out and about in Chicago with his new girlfriend, Ariana Chamberlain. The two seemed very happy, laughing and smiling as they ate at one of Chicago’s trendiest cafés.

The final two members of Cruise Control, Hayden Vega and Sebastian Fox, were spotted at Club Delirium in the company of some beautiful women. Both men seemed to be having a good time and were in high spirits.

Cruise Control fans worldwide have been clamoring for a new album, but from the looks of things, the band has plenty going on, with no sign of them heading into the studio anytime soon.

Mark My Words, This Will Be Amazing!

I’m sitting at the table, having breakfast, when there’s a knock at the door. I head over to open it and see Hayden standing there, grinning at me.

“Hey, dude. You excited?” he asks.

“Definitely,” I tell him with a thousand butterflies flying around in my stomach.

Heather’s flying to New York because she’s got model castings to do for Fashion Week, so Hayden’s going to come with me for today’s meeting at Reid Music.

“I still can’t believe that I’m going to have a signature bass made for people to buy.” I shake my head as I lead him back to the dining table so I can finish my breakfast.

Hayden takes a seat opposite me and grins. “It’s amazing. Next, I can have a drum set, and Seb can have a guitar, and Gabriel… Gabriel can have a signature hair tie, or something.”

“Does your man bun keep falling out? Well, it won’t anymore, thanks to Gabriel Knight branded hair ties. The manliest of buns needs the best of hair ties,” I manage to say in my best advert voice before bursting into laughter.

Hayden laughs as well, and as I continue eating, he asks me, “Where’s Heather?”

“Packing for her flight.”

“Shewouldbe packing last minute.”

“I’m glad I’m not traveling with her. I’m stressed just at the thought of packing an hour before I have to leave for a flight,” I joke.

In truth, I know that I’m going to miss Heather while she’s in New York, and I'd rather be going with her than staying behind. That being said, I can’t wait to see what Reid Music has come up with for me. Our lawyers negotiated back and forth for months with an exclusivity deal, and the final opportunity is phenomenal.

Not only will we receive royalties for the use of the Cruise Control symbol on the guitars, as well as my image and licensing for the guitar on merchandise, but there’s going to be a Cruise Control branded clinic tour next year in specialist music stores around the US with hour-long Q&As afterward.

I finish eating and rinse my dishes before putting them in the dishwasher and head to our bedroom to see Heather.

“Hayden’s here.”

“Oh, awesome. I’ll come see him in a second,” Heather says, sounding hassled as she rifles through the clothes hanging in our closet.

“Everything okay, angel?”

“I just can’t decide on an outfit for the castings tomorrow.” She turns to look at me while chewing her bottom lip. “It needs to be perfect so that the models will like me.”

My heart melts at her looking so stressed. I walk over and wrap my arms around her, holding her tightly to me as I drop a kiss onto her head.

“Whatever you wear will be perfect, and the models will all be very impressed by your designs and want to walk for you.”

Heather sighs into my chest as she wraps her arms around my waist and gives me a squeeze. “Thank you, honey. I’m just nervous about everything going wrong.”

I place a hand under her chin and tilt her face up to look at me. She’s so beautiful, and I love her so much. She has dark circles under her eyes, though, and I know she was up late working through the plans for the show. I can’t help but wish that Fashion Week was over already. It’s been so much work, and a real strain on her. I know that I’m probably the same when I’m writing music or performing, but it’s strange being on the outside and not being able to help carry the burden for her.

“You’re going to do an amazing job. From what you’ve told me, Ally is a very capable fashion show director. She won’t let you fail, and she certainly won’t let everything go wrong.”

Heather looks into my eyes for a few seconds before she lets out a breath and nods. “You’re right. I’m just freaking out. What would I do without you, Harrison Fletcher?”

“Work yourself into such a fret that you missed your flight to New York?” I suggest.
