Heather pulls her underwear back on and sits down next to me as the car turns into our street, announcing with a grin, “Engaged sex is definitely better than dating sex!”

I laugh at her, then kiss my sexy-as-hell fiancée. We arrive home and thank our driver before heading upstairs to our apartment, where we strip naked, putting our clothes in the laundry hamper before we get into bed.

We lie together in the dark, Heather’s back to my chest, and I have my arm wrapped around her waist. I’m completely at peace here with her, and excited to make her my wife one day soon.

“When do you want to get married, angel?” I ask into the darkness.

Heather yawns and says, “I kind of had an idea for a date.”

“Oh, really?” My eyebrows raise in surprise.

“Yeah, I thought maybe the ninth of May.”

Ah, her dad’s birthday.

I nod my head even though she can’t see it.

“Of course. That’s the perfect date, angel,” I say and kiss the top of her head.

“Thank you, honey. I just think it means he can be a part of our day, too.”

I can hear the pain in her voice, and I know she’s missed him over the last two years. I deeply regret not marrying her sooner so that he could’ve walked her down the aisle. I was just so busy with the band and touring and recording. I should’ve proposed as soon as her dad got sick, though.

“He will always be a part of our lives, angel. We can definitely get married in May.”

There’s silence for a few seconds before Heather says in a choked-up voice, “I love you, honey.”

“I love you, too, angel.”

I kiss her again and pull her tighter against me as she cries, and I keep kissing her occasionally. Eventually, she falls asleep, and when her breathing evens out, I allow myself to drift off as well.

IS ARIANA REALLY A NEW GIRLFRIEND FOR GABRIEL?

Gabriel Knight, lead singer of Cruise Control, debuted his new girlfriend at bandmate Harrison Fletcher’s thirtieth birthday party last weekend. The two looked happy as they posed for pictures on the red carpet with Harrison and his fiancée, Heather York.

But it didn’t take long for the internet to start asking some interesting questions. Reddit user, cruisefanforever, posed a theory that Ariana might be the much talked about ‘Ariel,’ who was the basis for the band’s Grammy Award-winning album, ‘Heart Wide Open.’

#ArianaIsAriel is trending on social media worldwide and speculation is rife that the theory is correct. People are finding pictures of Gabriel from the ‘Cards Have Been Dealt’ tour with a woman who definitely looks like his supposedly new girlfriend. If it is the same woman, then we wish them all the best…or for another amazing album from Cruise Control. We’ll take either option!

I’m sitting in front of my laptop, reading my emails, when my phone starts buzzing, and Sebastian’s name comes up on the screen.

“Hey, Seb. What’s up?” I say when I answer his call.

“Are you and your gorgeous fiancée free tonight?” he asks me.

“We don’t have anything planned, why?”

“I thought everyone could come around to my place tonight to have dinner and hang out. We haven’t all been together in ages,” he says.

I’m surprised by the invitation because I take this to mean that Gabriel and Ariana will be in attendance as well, and I’m curious about what exactly this means.
