I’d tempted fate by not wearing underwear tonight and he’d figured out my secret in under five minutes. I wasn’t usually that bold, but what could I say? Alex inspired me to be bad.

“You want me to fuck you.”

It was neither a question or a demand. We both knew it as the simple truth. I wanted him more than I could have imagined. I bit my lip to keep from pleading. It was the one thing he probably wanted and I wasn’t ready to give it to him yet.

“It’s not going to happen. At least not yet. So you might as well open your eyes.”

“I’d settle for a kiss,” I teased, my eyes remaining shut so I didn’t have to watch him say no.

To my surprise he reached out and pulled me close. I melted against him. There was something about his dominant nature that I was helpless to resist. It was one thing to be intrigued enough to try new things, but another thing entirely to realize that this man and his demands suited my sexuality to perfection.

All except one. A little warning niggled at the back of my mind. I pushed it away. Tonight I wouldn’t worry about anything unless I had to and so far I didn’t. I could enjoy one more night before reality set in.

“You like it when I tellyouwhat to do, not the other way around.”

“I shouldn’t, but I do.”

“Fuck shouldn’t. We’ll do what we want. So open your eyes and kiss me.”

I smiled, unable to hold it back. “Do you always get what you want?” I asked, opening my eyes.

He gave me a wolfish smile that told me his answer before he answered.

“Always. Now take your kiss before I change my mind and fuck you right here in the car while Gerard watches.”

Of course his arrogance and seductive demands made my stomach drop as I leaned forward and tentatively pressed my lips to his. He allowed my tentative exploration for all of about five seconds before he took over.

His hand gripped the back of my head, pulling me hard against him as every move turned aggressive. He’s not holding back either as I gasped when his teeth nipped at my bottom lip. I swear I thought I knew kissing until I met him. He’d taught me in a night just how wrong I’d been.

Our tongues met and everything else disappeared. He dominated me as effectively as he seduced. One hand held my head as the other dug into my hip with fingers desperate for contact. That’s how he made me feel. Desperate. Needy. And more than a little greedy.

When I whimpered, he groaned and his lips softened to a gentler touch. I relaxed against him, soaking in all the comfort and kindness he now showed.

I didn’t know if he realized it or not, but he’d shown me there were two sides to Alex Woodman. The dominant, always in control man who obviously got whatever he wanted. And the other, softer side that proved there might be a little more to the man than he wanted anyone to know.

After our kiss he practically pushed me out of the car. I had a feeling it was either that or he was going to live up to his threat and have his way there on the leather seat in full view of his driver.

I couldn’t lie and say that didn’t excite me, although I wasn’t sure how I felt about someone watching. Not a disinterested third party anyway. I stifled a giggle that bubbled up. I was turning into a regular pervert these days. Threesomes, voyeurism… What was next? Probably a question I shouldn’t have asked.

When I looked up I realized we were at the docks. A dock to be specific and it looked like it led to a—holy shit—is that a ship?

“Uhm, Alex, what’s going on? Where are we going?” He was leading me along the walkway in the direction of the largest yacht known to man. And I meant that literally because I’d seen on the news that this boat, owned by a Russian billionaire, had arrived in New York City just a few days ago. Everyone was talking about it because of its size. Because fuck yeah size mattered no matter what anyone says.

“We’re going to a party.”

My steps faltered as I tried to process the idea of stepping onto the luxurious ship that loomed at the end of the long dock.

“Relax, Harper. It’s not that big of a deal.”

I stopped and turned back to him. “Are you crazy? It is a very big deal. Do you know who owns that boat?”

He chuckled, a low sound that resembled a growl more than an actual laugh. “Yes, I do know. That’s why we’re here. When a man like Viktor comes to town I want to know why.

“So we’re crashing his party?”

“Nooo. We are attending a party I was invited to. Viktor and I share a few common interests so I have a standing invitation to all of his parties.”

I blew out a hard breath. I had a feeling I was missing some information about Alex that I should already know. “Who are you?”
