Three months later

“I have to admit you were right. This place is out of this world.”

Izzy beamed at him from her position in front of the floor to ceiling glass windows of their new luxury condo that overlooked the Vegas strip from their living room. And if that far-reaching view wasn’t spectacular enough, he could walk into his new state of the art office and view all of Downtown or when he sought something more peaceful, walk into their master suite and luxuriate in a stunning sunset from the surrounding mountains.

“I know you said a house. But the places we kept looking at left me cold and reminded me too much of growing up in Seattle. I just couldn’t go traditional when what I craved was different and modern,” she said sweeping her hands around the giant open space living area that included a fantastic kitchen, dining area and a kick-ass sunken living room with a giant screen television that would put any man cave to shame.

He pulled her into his arms and pressed a kiss to the top of her head. “It’s perfect.” And it was. The central location of the building meant an easy drive to the office for both of them. She also wasn’t far from her friends, which he knew meant a lot to her. She, Nina, Zia and sometimes Tori when she was in town with Levi, were as thick as thieves.

Which meant when he traveled for his job and she couldn’t go with him, he didn’t have to worry about who would look after her. In addition to their round the clock security, those girls of hers were always planning something.

It also meant they were no longer living in a hotel and they could settle into their lives in a place they called home. It was a far cry from the bungalow that he’d grown up in and recently sold, but that didn’t feel like a bad thing at all.

They’d rebooted their lives together and this was yet another step towards the rest of their lives. Maybe now they could start talking about marriage again and a family. This place had three extra bedrooms in addition to their master and his office. They had plenty of room to grow.

“And just in case you’re worried we won’t have any outdoor space here. There’s a huge courtyard one floor down that’s just for us. There’s also a rooftop pool with an adjacent gym since I know you like to keep in shape.” She splayed her fingers across the ridges of his stomach and teased the line above his belt.

“I have to. Otherwise I’ll never keep up with you.” He raised her arms above her head and placed them against the glass. “You’re always trying to wear me out.”

“Oh please,” she purred, grinding her hips against his.

He wasn’t altogether sure she was protesting or pleading for more. Either way, he knew what to do. He reached for his belt and loosened it and the zipper. He was about to pull himself out when the doorbell rang.

Her face fell and he literally bit his tongue to keep from laughing out loud. Her look of disappointment was so damned cute, but he had a feeling that wouldn’t go over very well if he said so out loud.

“That would be Rock, right on time,” she whimpered.

He nodded. “That’s my brother. Painfully punctual.” He shoved his face in her neck and on a deep inhale he re-zipped his pants. “Maybe we can make this quick so we can get back to this.”

She hummed and he got that she liked that idea.

“This is the first time I’ve seen him since the hospital. I’m not going to rush him out the door just so we can get back to sex. I mean as good as that sounds, I’d like to make a better impression than before.”

“Baby, he already likes you. You don’t have to do anything special to make that happen.” He lifted his head to swipe a soft kiss on her lips and then released her hands so he could go and answer the door.

He had to admit this picture he had in his head of her pressed to the glass with him fucking her gave him something powerful to look forward to when it came to later tonight. He was definitely starting to like this place a whole lot.

“Still.” She wriggled her way free from his hold and went to work righting her blouse and skirt as well as her hair. Not that her riot of long, black curls ever took notice. They did what they wanted and what they usually wanted was to be wild and free. Which of course, made her look all the more fuckable.

Shit. He needed to think of something else so he didn’t answer the door with a tent. As if reading his mind, she glanced down and smacked her lips together. “You want me to answer it so you can take care of that beast?”

He swatted her ass, laughing. “Sure, babe. But check the monitor before you open it.”

She rolled her eyes. “As if I wouldn’t.”

She scooted towards the entrance, something he deliberately didn’t watch or his efforts for control would get lost at the sight of her ass in the tight skirt she’d worn tonight. Even then he still had to will his dick to throttle back.

He heard his brother’s voice as she ushered him inside and that was more than enough to cool him down. He’d taken it upon himself to put his parents’ house on the market without talking to Rock first and now that it was sold, he wanted to split the proceeds with him since that seemed fair. He only hoped his brother didn’t flip out on him for not consulting him.

They entered the main living space together, but Izzy quickly excused herself to the kitchen so she could finish ‘preparing’ dinner. Which they both knew was a special delivery from Zia’s kitchen at The Sinclair. His woman wasn’t much of a cook, but who cared when she had a friend with mad skills in the culinary department and was more than happy to share said skills with them whenever she could.

He had a feeling that whenever Vincent Cabrini pulled his head out of his ass and stopped giving that woman a hard time, he would find that the benefits of being with a hot headed and feisty Italian far outweighed any aggravation.

“Sweet place. Your private sector security gig must come with a generous paycheck.”

He narrowed his eyes on his brother, unsure how to take his comments. Hawkins Security did pay him extremely well, but Izzy had also insisted on paying for her half of the condo, especially since she picked it. Something unnecessary for him, but necessary for her so he’d indulged her.

But his brother had never discovered the virtual fortune her father had mistakenly put in her name and they weren’t about to share that information with law enforcement, even one who was related by blood.
