Angie:Do you have plans for dinner? Was thinking I could pick up a few pizzas at Starlight Pi.
I smiledand typed out a reply.
Me:No plans for dinner. Only for dessert.
Angie: Oh?
Me: Yeah, last night, I found my new favorite treat.
Angie: blushing emoji.
A throat clearingpulled my attention, and I looked back up at Paul.
He tipped his chin toward the phone in my hand. “I’m assuming that’s Angie that has you hyper focused on your phone at the moment.”
I nodded. He didn’t need a response. His smirk said it all.
“I’m pretty sure I’ve never seen you lovesick like this.”
“I’m not…” I started to shake my head but stopped. I didn’t need to finish that statement. We both knew any type of denial would be a lie. I could tell him she was more like an obsession. That I couldn’t possibly be in love with someone after a week. But that would be a lie too.
He chuckled. “I’ll let you know when she’s ready to be picked up.” He raised a brow at me before adding, “Assuming you want to ride with me?”
“Think she’d be annoyed?”
“Nope.” He shook his head. “That girl has it just as bad.”
I shot up, my back snapping straight. Paul laughed as he turned and walked away.
Was he just saying that? Or did she feel as strongly about me as I did her? I typed out another text.
Me:So, pizza for dinner and you for dessert?
I leaned backand closed my eyes, picturing her above me as she let herself go. I wanted so damn badly to see that same expression on her face as I plowed into her for the first time.
Another chime indicated she’d responded, and I smiled as I read her text.
Angie:Only if I get to have dessert too.
My dick sprangto life as the memory of her with my cock in her mouth flashed through my mind.
Chapter Twenty
ANGIE
I steppedup to the counter and gave the older lady my order. I figured ordering the same three kinds of pizza Wyatt had ordered that first night we ate together would be safe.
The woman behind the counter smiled at me as she tilted her head. “I think Blanche was right.”
“What?” My brow pulled together at the odd response.
“She was convinced she’d found the perfect woman for Wyatt.” The lady chuckled. “And between the picture of you two at dinner, talk of Wyatt bouncing around the hotel like he’s oncloud nine, and then him calling a little bit ago asking me to put whatever you order on his tab, I would say I have to agree.”
I shook my head but couldn’t stop the smile. How much pizza did he think I was planning to order?
“He also said you’d love our bruschetta and oversized cookies.”
I glanced at the display case that housed the desserts. The large chocolate chunk cookies did look amazing, but so did the chocolate fudge walnut ones.
