I turned in his arms as much as I could, seeking out his tongue to fill me too. His fingers pressed harder, his hips bucked, matching mine, like this was too much and not enough for him too. He tore his lips from me to curse, going rigid as he filled me, finally filled me. His pleasure poured into me, becoming mine. My eyes fluttered. The last thing I felt was his hand on my neck and my name on his lips.
My eyes fluttered again, and we were on our sides. That terrible moment of disconnection lessened by his mouth on mine. He was purring now. A smile of satisfaction played on my lips. To make an alpha purr was heaven.
We stayed like that until our skin cooled and our breathing was normal. Ren rolled me onto my back and placed the sweetest, gentlest kiss on my lips. He reached over me forsomething and dragged that blankie from one of the vendor stalls over my body. The fuzziness made me shiver.
He moved between my legs, pushing them wide again. I almost protested that I couldn’t handle anymore. He dried my thighs and stomach from all the slick and carefully, gently, put my panties back correctly, running a soothing knuckle up and down the fabric right between my legs. Then he pulled the hem of my sundress down, and closed my legs, like that was only for him and not the rest of the world to enjoy.
With strong arms he lifted me to sitting and cradled me between his legs. He adjusted the cups of my bra back into place, smoothed down the top of my dress and made sure the straps were in the right place. He combed his fingers through my hair, like I was… precious.
“We have a bit of a problem, several, actually.” Ren’s voice was steady and calm.
“Okay.” I breathed deep, and straightened.
“This vendor space will open to the public soon. We probably should not be fucking on their equipment when they get here.”
I brushed my hair back and looked around. Oh. Shit. All of… that… had just happened in public.
“Second.” There was almost a snarl in his voice. “I have to meet with someone on the ship. It is the last place I want to be.”
“Of course,” I said evenly.
“Third…” His eyes raked over me with the most wicked smile.
“What?”
“I’m not entirely sure how I’m going to make it through my day knowing you’re walking around in Justice’s panties that I thoroughly drenched.”
I blushed and ducked my head, but gentle fingers pinched my chin and brought my head back up.
“If you tell me to stay, I will.”
“You have things to do.” I insisted.
He picked me up in his arms and moved us off the little platform of the pillow company. When he put me on my feet, he held tight, like he wasn’t sure I was able to stand.
“Precious.” He said one last time.
“That was, uh…” I licked my lips. “Are all flings like that?”
“No.”
He didn’t elaborate or say something witty and funny. There was a serious edge to his voice that I didn’t understand.
“Tell me to stay, Mackenzie,” he whispered.
“You have to be somewhere. It’s fine, really.” His jaw ticked, but he nodded.
He led me out of the showroom, pausing to peel off a few bills for the blankie that we’d used. As we walked down the hall, a group of three betas brushed past us, their arms full of boxes and supplies for their vendor booth. My cheeks were probably bright red.
At the elevator back, he asked, “up or down.”
“Up. I’m going to sit by the pool.”
He pushed the button for me. He brought my hand to his mouth and kissed my palm. He turned abruptly and stalked away, like if he didn’t go now, he never would.

“Well, this is horrific.” Justice stopped dead in the restaurant’s doorway.
