Kat waved her hand in the air. "He might be your agent, but I'm his supplier of exotic chocolates on the black market. And Texan owes me for the two barrels of acid I had shipped to his house in Montana. Mind you, I did it without taking a cut off the top and no questions asked."
Texan turned into a grocery store parking lot and parked next to a white SUV. "I'm going to go check out the vehicle."
"Kitty, I asked for information on your dealer a week ago, because he was a prime suspect in an investigation," Antonio said.
Kat's cheek turned bright pink. "Umm…the police won't find him, and he's not my dealer anymore."
"We will discuss that while I have you bent over my lap later. Right now, what is the next move?"
Hannah raised her hand. "Are you going to spank her? Is this a thing in your group?"
Kat snickered. "You have much to learn about us, but I'm pretty sure Zack is vanilla."
The BDSM club everyone in our group frequented wasn't a place I wanted to display my sexual desires. Even with my security detail, I worried my information would hit the press.
"My sex life is not up for discussion," I cut in. "What is the next stop?"
"Two more car switches, then a magic trick at the hangar."
For the next two hours, we drove around Vegas while the team investigated. I tried to point out a few chapels, but was shot down each time. Hannah dozed next to me as we made our way to the airport. Texan finally pulled the SUV into a large building. A group of people stood around three crates.
I nudged Hannah awake, and we joined my friends. "Okay, Kat, what is the next part of your plan?"
"We crafted a message for social media that Hannah couldn't handle the pressure of the engagement, and you called it off." Kat held her hand up before I could argue. "Daisy plans to dress up like Hannah and get spotted around Vegas. We are going to sneak Hannah back to your house in Haven Ridge via this container."
"No," Hannah said. "We need a different option."
Kat grabbed her hand. "It’s only until you’re airborne."
"I—I…I'm scared of small spaces," Hannah replied. "I would rather take my chances."
"Told you," Texan said.
"That's why I came prepared." Kat yanked a gun from her waist and leveled it at Hannah. "Sorry, Hannah." The words barely left her mouth.
I jumped in front of the large dart.
"Fuck, that hurt," I slurred.
Chapter5
Hannah
Zack's large body swayed, and I reached for his waist as he stumbled forward. I wasn't strong enough to keep him up as he collapsed to the cement floor in the airplane hangar.
"Well, that wasn't part of the plan," Kat stated the obvious.
"I swear, Texan, if you shoot my wife, I will kill you," Antonio said.
That's when I spotted the agent had his Glock aimed at Kat.
Zane dropped next to me and helped me roll Zack onto his back. A four-inch dart stuck out of his chest. The stupid man had saved me from a tranquilizer. I smacked his cheek. "Wake up."
"He won't be up for about three hours. The dose was smaller, because it was intended for you."
"How did you know I wouldn't be allergic?" I asked.
Kat rolled her eyes. "Sophie hacked your medical records."
