The man’s face paled, and he dropped to the chair. “Things got carried away. I’m not part of what you think.”

My fingers drummed across the table. “How about the Zarus’s church? Are you with them?”

He rested his elbows on the table and sighed. “I knew this would come back to haunt me. My son got into some trouble. In return, I paid off the custom’s night supervisor in Miami to look the other way for them. They were transporting guns.”

“No, they were moving women, and we think these two women were part of it. The only link we have to them is this club. And you played with all three.”

Senator Smith’s head looked toward Kaeden. “He also played with all three.”

“I will slice you into pieces if you don’t tell us what the fuck you did.” I growled out.

The man visibly shook. “I swear I had no idea about the missing women. My contact and I met here. Once a month, and I would tell them the new drop location.”

“Who?” Me and Agent Scarlet growled at the same time.

“Her name is Elise. I only did this for my son.”

The man had more recourse at his disposal, and he chose the illegal way to help his son. Everything clicked into place. Milton worked for the cartel, and Elise had access to the hospital. The cartel had connections to the Zarus church.

“Can you handle him?” I asked Scarlet, already on my feet, ready to go after Milton and Elise. Mia was next to me, her gun in hand.

Paxton, her escort for the night, glanced at her. “Where the hell did you have that.”

She winked at him. “Maybe one day you will find out, but right now, I need to do my job.”

The man stood to full height. “It’s too dangerous for you. Stay here, and I’ll help Wes.”

I couldn’t hold back the groan. Mia was deadly; I had no problem having her watch my six. Men sometimes didn’t understand how dangerous a woman could be.

“I might be a sub in a dungeon and like my ass spanked. When it comes to my job, the only person to give me orders is Brock, and half the time, I don’t listen to him. I never walk into your place of business and tell you how to do your job what possibly makes you think you can do it to me?” Her shoulders were squared. For a second, I wondered if she would shoot the doctor.

“But you’re a woman you should— “

“Dude,” I growled. “Mia is my partner on this case, and she is who I want by my side. Sit tight, and we will take care of everything.”

His jaw ticked, “I’m coming because you’ll find them faster with me. I know where she likes to play.”

Mia’s lip ticked up, “on one condition. You stay behind me the whole time. Or I’ll grab some rope and tie your ass up.”

Paxton’s brother burst out laughing across the room. “I think you finally met your match, brother.”

“Fuck you!” Paxton mumbled as he followed us out into the main area.

The main floor had filled up even more. Each station was full, but Paxton pointed toward a back hall. From the layout we were given before we arrived, I knew it would lead to the private rooms—a total of ten. The drawing also let me know there was an exit out the back at the end and one in the bar area.

Two men stood in the hall. “Let me by. I’ll go talk to Vic,” Paxton said.

Mia didn’t move, and I let her take the lead. I knew the chauvinistic comment had got under her skin. She had to deal with this crap all the time. She’s tiny. One of the reasons I also don’t think any of her relationships had worked. They all thought her job was too dangerous. The words didn’t come out of her mouth. Instead, Matt told me. It seemed the men at Blackwood Security gossiped more than the women.

“Did you not hear where I said I was in charge. I’ll go talk to Vic. Stay here like a good little tour guide,” Mia sashayed.

“I should be pissed. The only thing I want to do is put her over a bench, spank her ass and fuck her.”

“You can’t put her in her place for doing her job,” I sighed, wondering when the guy would figure it out.

“Oh, she can clearly do her job. But that mouth turns me on.”

“I don’t even know how to respond.”
