“You’re right that I want to watch them, but I’m tempted to stay in bed with you.” Aaron leaned in and captured my lips.
Neal leaned over my back and kissed his way up my neck. I was lost in the sensation when the door to our bedroomflew open again. Neal kissed my neck one more time before he leaned back. We confronted a new intruder.
“Uncles and Auntie, I want to open gifts.” Ant wore Christmas PJs that matched Jessica’s.
“Okay, buddy, we will be down in a few. Can you shut the door, and we will come down?”
Once our little intruder left, Aaron threw off the covers, yanked on a pair of sweats he’d discarded nearby, and rose from the bed.
I couldn’t help but stare at his naked backside. I wasn’t the only one. Neal watched with his mouth dropped open. Damn, he was sexy. His sweatpants rode low on his amazing hips, showing his back muscles, and if he turned around, I would seethe sexy abs I enjoyed running my hands all over.
Aaron turned around, and I gazed at his perfect abs and licked my lips. I wanted to run my mouth all over him. “Are you two going to lie in bed and stare or get ready?” Aaron asked with a mischievous grin. He knew exactly what was going through my mind. If a cute six-year-old hadn’t been waiting for us downstairs, I would have made love to my men.
“Fine. I’m getting up,” Neal grumbled, and I saw another sexy backside. I was the luckiest woman on the planet.
“I hope your brother gets out so we can open gifts,” I said.
Aaron walked over to the door and flipped the lock. “Or we can ignore the outside world and head back to bed.”
“It’s enticing…” And I actually considered it for a second. But the pitter-patter of little feet outside the door changed my mind. “Nope. Let’s celebrate the holiday with our friends, then you guys can come back up here and unwrap me,” I said. I dodged Aaron’s arm as he reached for me and ran to the bathroom.
The second I shut the door, I flipped the lock, knowing that they would try to follow me. The shower felt good. When I came out, Aaron grabbed me around the waist and lifted me into his arms. “You are the most beautiful woman alive.”
“We have to go downstairs,” I reminded him. I tried to say it sternly, but giggles bubbled from me. “Your nephew will be back soon if we don’t go downstairs.”
Aaron leaned in and gave me a deep kiss. Before I had time to head to the door, Neal pulled me in. My body was on fire. Neal broke me from my daze. “Let’s go down.”
When we opened the door, an angry six-year-old stood in wait. “Come on, Uncle Aaron and Uncle Neal. I want to open gifts.”
Aaron reached down, swooped Ant into his arms, and tickled his sides. “Let’s go see what’s under the tree.”
Ant’s laughter brought a smile to my face. It was going to be the best Christmas ever, and the day had just started. I followed my two men down the stairs.
I couldn’t help but stop halfway down, just as the living room was in sight. Aaron’s entire family sat around the living room with our friends. Brock sat in a chair with Jessica in his lap. Alonzo crawled around on the floor. Sophie and Zane sat on the floor next to him. But I never expected to see the president of the United States in the house. Zack sat on the chair, sipping a cup of coffee and smiling at the people inthe room.
A huge tree stood in the middle, and it looked like a department store. I hadn’t seen the gifts last night when we came home. I was so tired that I didn’t pay attention. There were so many presents that they didn’t fit under the tree.
The three of us cuddled together on the love seat. It didn’t take long for laughter to fill the cabin, with the sound of paper tearing under the chuckles. I was enjoying watching everyone opening gifts. I hadn’t even opened any of mine when Ant walked up with a small box and handed it to me. “Here, Auntie Daisy. This one is for you.” I leaned over, grabbed the gift, and gave him a kiss on the cheek before he ran back to his parents.
I tried to hold back the emotions of the day. My damn hormones had me on the verge of tears all morning. I slowly pulled off the wrapping paper, savoring the first Christmas present from my men. Aaron had scribbled his and Neal’s name on the top. It meant more that he put their names on it instead of allowing the gift wrapper at the store to write the card. They both had opened their gifts—I had given each of them a framed ultrasound photo of their babies. After I pulled the last piece of paperaway, a ring box sat in my hands. My hand shook as I opened the top. I gasped at the pink diamond ring inside. I could barely see it through the tears running down my face.
I turned to Neal, who was down on one knee. Aaron sat next to me and grabbed my hand. I glanced back at Neal, and he had so much love in his eyes. Ant stood next to him and couldn’t help but smile.
“Daisy, this past year we have been through a lot,” Neal said. “I know one thing. You make me happy, and when we found Aaron, everything clicked for us. I wanted to ask you in front of our family and friends because these are the people who love you as much as I do. There isn’t a day that goes by when I don’t want you to be my wife, my partner, and the mother of my children. I’m not sure our lives will be all roses, but I will fight for you with each breath I take to make sure you are happy. Please marry me and make me the happiest man alive.”
Neal’s eyes bored into me, but how could I say yes to only one? Would Aaron think I didn’t love him as much as Neal? I wanted them both to be my husband. When I looked in Aaron’s direction, he gave me a smile. “Love, are you going to answer Neal or leave him out to dry?”
I wiped the tears from my face. “I want to say yes, but I also want to marry you. How come I can’t marry both of you?”
Aaron wrapped an arm around me. “Love, we might not get married by the government standard, but you will be my wife. And as soon as you say yes to Neal, I can give you my gifts.”
“I love you, too, Neal,” I whispered. And my voice wobbled between sobs of happiness. “I love you both so much. It would make me the happiest woman alive to be your wife.”
“Is that a yes?”
“Yes,” I told him.
He picked me up from the couch and swung me around. The living room erupted in congratulations and hugs.
