I chuckle, walking back to my discarded clothes from the night before, and pull out my phone. Avalon’s name pops up on the screen, and I answer.

“Where the hell are you guys?” Avalon’s voice rings loud and clear into the otherwise quiet room.

Micki’s head pops up and she gestures out with her hand. I walk over and take a seat on the edge of the bed, putting the phone on speaker.

“In bed,” Micki replies with a huff, squinting at the phone as I set it next to her. “It’s—fuck, it’s not even nine a.m., you bitch.”

“Yeah, well, hurry up, we’ve got shit to do today.”

I bite my tongue to keep from laughing at the confusion that crosses Micki’s face. “What the hell are you talking about?” she demands.

“Luc?” Avalon’s words focus on me. “You didn’t tell her?”

“Tell me what?” Micki asks before I can answer.

I gently tap a finger to her lips and then lift the phone back up, switching it off speaker mode. “She just woke up, Avalon,” I remind her. “I was planning on telling her when she was a little more aware of her surroundings.”

“Yeah, well, we stole Rin from Abel, Rylie, and Kai for this shindig. Rin loves that baby and she was hell getting away from him. We’re waiting for the two of you to get your asses up so we can hit the waffle place. I’m hungry and so is Rin and if—I swear to god, Dean, if you curse one more time and she starts repeating what you say, I’m going to—no, Rinnie, don’t say that. Uncle Dean is an idiot and you don’t need to catch his disease.”

Dean’s rough vibrato echoes through the other line, though not clear enough for me to hear his words.

“What is she saying?” Micki demands, reaching for the phone.

Arching my brow, I stand and turn around, backing away from the bed with a grin. “If you want to find out what she’s talking about, you’ll have to get out of bed,” I taunt.

She growls in response, lifting up her pillow and brandishing it like a weapon as she damn near falls off the side of the bed in her haste. She must have gotten up in the middle of the night because unlike when she went to bed, she’s no longer naked. A pity, really, but seeing her in nothing but my long white t-shirt is mouthwatering enough. Regardless, I snort at her pathetic attempt at being threatening and grin when her eyes narrow. "Keep talking that way and you’ll have to stay in bed—a hospital bed!”

I laugh outright and wave the phone at her. “Oh, really?”

I’m halfway through my second taunt when she launches herself out of bed, pillow still in hand as she collides with me, knocking me backwards off my feet. “Shit!” I yell as I go down, the phone slipping from my grip and sliding across the floor.

With the girliest giggles I’ve ever heard coming out of her mouth, Micki proceeds to pummel me with the damn pillow, until finally I can’t take it anymore. “Okay!” I shout, my stomach aching with each laugh. “Okay! I concede. Mercy, baby! Mercy!”

The blows cease and Micki drops the pillow next to my head, as she leans over. Her palms rub up my bare chest. She hums in the back of her throat, that pretty pink tongue of hers darting out to swipe across her lower lip. “Never,” she whispers. “You’ll get no mercy from me.”

Her kiss is the sweetest I’ve ever tasted. Her tongue moves against mine, filling up my mouth as I palm the back of her head and hold her to me. It isn’t until the sound of irritated talking breaks past our sex-fogged brains that I remember we were on the phone—and as kinky as I’ve found Micki and myself to be, I still don’t like the idea of either Avalon or Dean listening to the two of us fuck.

Gently, I push her back. Micki rolls off of me, her chest rising and falling rapidly as she tries to catch her breath. I find my phone halfway beneath her desk and as I lift it back to my ear, Avalon’s irritated voice grows louder.

“How the fuck is she that loud and she’s not even on speaker phone?” Micki grumbles.

I shake my head. “No idea,” I admit.

“I can hear the two of you, you know,” Avalon snaps.

“Good, then you know that you’re a pain in the ass!” Micki calls across the room.

“Of course I know,” Avalon shoots back. “I just happen to enjoy being one.”

“Alright, that’s enough.” I hold up my hand when Micki sits up and opens her mouth. “Go shower, I’ll talk to her,” I say, cutting her off before she can start.

She blows out a breath and glares at me, but that doesn’t stop her from getting off the floor and moving towards the bathroom door. “If you’re a good girl, I’ll join you!” I call after her.

“Don’t threaten me with a good time,” she calls back, stopping in the doorway to turn back with a grin. “But if you did, I’d make it worth your while.” To punctuate that statement, she lifts up the white cotton t-shirt, pulls it off, and drops it to the floor, turning around and disappearing into the bathroom.

My teeth sink into my lower lip.Fuck. Me.“Sorry, Ava,” I say even as my free hand goes back to the zipper of the jeans I just pulled on. “You’ll have to give us at least another thirty minutes.”

Avalon groans in response. “Can you not be disgusting for like two seconds?” she demands.
