Tomorrow I will allow myself to process the thoughts that are knocking on the door inside my head demanding to be heard. All of the what ifs. The doubts. The pain that inevitably goes along with them.

Tomorrow.

Tomorrow I will wake up and face my demons. Head on.

Chapter Thirty Two

Ipace the living room as we wait for confirmation to move in on the warehouse we have been informed that Kennedy is in.

The warehouse district we originally thought she was in was a bust. Seems these guys aren’t as amateur as we originally thought.

They tricked us, again, by having multiple vans with the same make, model and plates. They lead us on a wild goose chase. Each time we thought we had a lead, we came up empty handed.

That was until an Alpha named Jaiden contacted Theo. I think it shocked every single one of us when we were informed that he is undercover as a part of the Omega Protection Agency with the Mullen pack. It did nothing to settle my anger in regards to him though.

As far as I am concerned, he still had a hand in her kidnapping. Any injuries or trauma that she will now face as a result of that is his fault.

Since his call, I have been unsettled. Unable to sit still.

The bond in my chest is still empty.

We have been told that it's because she is being pumped with a drug that is used to dissolve bonds between packs. Originally it was brought in to help abused Omegas escape but now it's being used on our Omega as a form of torture.

Jax hasn’t been able to calm down since hearing the news. Holes from his fists are littered along the walls leading down to the gym. Every so often I can hear something else smash. None of us have been brave enough to go and face him. He won’t be able to see reason until it is time.

I know that I am only holding on by a thread too.

I don’t think Theo has had more than five hours sleep since she was taken from us.

It's been a week. A week of utter fucking torture.

When we get Kennedy back, I refuse to leave her side. If I have to, I will force her to wear a tracker. Better yet, I will just insert one under her skin in her sleep.

I refuse to feel these motions again.

It felt like a nightmare had come to life when I searched the entire house to find that she was gone. To see Jax in a pool of his own blood.

If I have to go to extremes to ensure my family is safe, I will.

It is well past midnight by the time Theo’s phone rings.

“Jaiden,” his voice is gruff as he answers the phone. He doesn’t give the Alpha any kind of pleasantries in his greeting.

I watch Theo closely as he nods along with what even Jaiden is saying on the other end.

Eventually he looks at me, giving me a short nod.

Standing up from my place on the couch, I send out a text to the group chat of soldiers.

TIME.

I don’t need to say anything else. Each of our soldiers know that is our code.

Opening the door to the gym, I find Jax laying into a punching bag. The room is a complete mess. Every single piece of equipment has been thoroughly destroyed.

The bag looks only moments away from becoming another victim to Jax’s wrath. Not that I can blame him. I would just prefer to channel this rage into the motherfuckers that took her

Instead of the exercise equipment. But whatever floats his boat I guess.
