“She wanted me to fucking make a pack with them,” he mocks, his eyebrows furrowing,

“She was mine. My fucking wife. Not theirs.”

He pants as he ends his rant. If steam could come out of his nose, it would.

“You wanted her all to yourself,” I sneer.

He throws his hand up, “Finally, the first intelligent thing that has ever come out of your mouth.”

Disgust fills me as I look at him. Never have I seen a poorer excuse for a man in my life. Even though she found her scent match pack, shestill wanted my father to be a part of her life. It wasn’t good enough for him. He wanted her all to himself.

Lifting my gun from where it has hung beside me, I hold it in front of me sighting it in so when I pull my trigger, it will hit in between his eyes.

He laughs, “What do you think you are going to do with a weapon like that? Put it away little girl. You will hurt yourself.”

“Don’t be so concerned about my well being, Calvin. You have never cared before so why now?”

His eyes harden as he takes a step around the desk. My gun trails him.

“Put the weapon down, Kennedy.”

“No, I’m not going to do that. You have taken everything for me. You have beaten me down for years. Fed my body full of suppressants to stop my heat.”

Instead of him taking a step towards me, I move closer to him. I see a hint of panic in his eyes.

“You took me from my pack and fuckingsoldme! The moment you lifted a hand to me was the day you sealed your own fate.”

Moving my gun down to his knee, I pull the trigger, destroying his kneecap. His scream echoes through the room as he collapses onto the floor. His blood slowly begins to pool underneath as he cradles himself.

I startle as the doors behind me slam open. Theo, Jax, Ledger and their fathers storm into the room, pausing as they see Calvin before me.

Ledger rushes me, turning me around and grabbing my face in his hands, “Are you okay, Little Omega?”

He pulls back from me slightly as he looks over my body, checking for any wounds.

“I’m okay. Did you deal with them?”

He nods before looking down at Calvin who is now rolling around on the ground, clutching his knee. Snorting, he watches the pitiful act. But instead, I watch him.

Eventually, his gaze returns to mine, “What do you want done with him?”

Turning my head, I watch as Vic and Olis pick him up underneath his arms. They have to hold him up so that he doesn’t collapse now that his knee has been blown out.

I give myself a moment as I take him in. For years I have held so much anger for him. He has pushed me to my lowest, to the point that I didn’t want to live anymore. I had prepared myself to be the one that would end his era of terror. But as I look down at the weak man before me, I can’t bring myself to care for him anymore.

If I was to kill him now, would that ensure that I am able to heal? Or if I was to hand the fate of Calvin into the hands of my Alphas and their fathers, would the knowledge that he had been dealt with be enough for me to overcome a lifetime of trauma. Would watching my retribution be enough?

“I...” I stammer as I look back at Ledger, undecided.

“It's okay to not want to kill him, baby. He is your father after all,” he murmurs, rubbing his thumb over my cheek.

“He isn’t my father,” I whisper. Ledgers thumb pauses on my cheek as he bends down to catch my eyes from where they dropped from his face.

“What do you mean?”

I blow out a breath, “It's a really long story but my mother had a scent match pack that she met, nine months before I was born. He isn’t my father.”

Ledgers face hardens as his thumb returns to stroking my cheek, “That mother fucking piece of shit.”
