I know this issue is going to keep coming up. Still, I’m going full steam ahead avoidant mode until my mum starts getting really suspicious. Then, I’ll have to make up something more convincing.

“Yep, next time.” I lean in to peck her on the cheek before gathering my things and making my way outside.

Once I’m in the car, I blast the heater as we’re well into winter now. I put my hands against the vent as lukewarm air pumps out.

My phone beeps.

Jay

So?

I quickly bring up Jahmar’s video feed and groan when I see him, all sprawled out on the bleach-white sheets in a tiny red jockstrap. This view will never get old—he’s exquisite. I have no idea how I managed to bag him. I’m seriously punching.

I’m watching. God, you look good.

Jahmar reads the message, then looks up at the camera and winks. Leaning across the bed, he grabs a large pad and pen and scrawls away. I patiently wait for whatever he has to say. I’m sure it will be something obscene but incredibly hot. A few moments later, he climbs to his knees and holds the pad to the camera.

It reads,‘I need to ask you a serious question. I thought doing it like this would be better in case you reject me.’

My brows furrow. As if I could reject this man in any way, shape, or form.

Ok, I’m all ears.

I mean I’m all eyes, I’m watching, baby.

He looks at his phone with a bashful smile, then starts writing again. It doesn’t take him long.

‘MOVE IN WITH ME?’it says in all caps.

My heart sings, and a spark of elation buzzes through me. I’m smiling so hard my jaw aches.

I’ve been dropping hints about moving in together for a few weeks, but I wanted him to ask.

Go to the last chapter of your current read.

He snatches his phone off the bed and pulls a face at my message.

Trust me.

He goes out of shot for a few moments, most likely grabbing his smutty vampire book from the coffee table where he last left it. Once he’s back, he sits against the headboard and starts flicking through the pages, eyebrows drawn together adorably.

I’ve been secretly reading ahead of him and leaving little notes, but in the last chapter, I only left one. I know he’s seen it when his smile grows wide, and his eyes fill with tears.

In the final chapter, I’ve highlighted and annotated a short passage where the shy vamp fumbles to ask the human to move in with him.

‘I want this, all of this. Ask me to move in already.’

Jahmar

After crying like a little bitch because I’m overflowing with love for my little lion, I pull myself together, and ease my largest glass plug in and out of my hole.

The second Anders walks through that door, I need to have him. I’d been building up the nerve to ask him to move in for a while. Hell, I wanted him to move in before all of the drama withhis brother happened, but I was too chicken-shit back then. Plus, he was still a volatile little thing.

Things have settled down since then, and I don’t see any reason why we shouldn’t take this next step.

I’m obsessed with him, dangerously so, but hey, it is what it is. That curved cock, precious dimple, and courageous heart have me whipped.

“Oh fuuuck,” Anders drawls as he watches me from the doorway. I left it open just enough so he could peep in. It’s a regular thing we do—he fuckinglovesto watch.
