“I’d rather stay in bed a little while longer. I’m extremely comfortable right now.” Everly sighs with contentment. “Aren’t you?”

“Staying cuddled in bed with a beautiful woman? Sounds like a hardship.”

“If you need convincing, I had something more than just cuddling in mind,” she murmurs, leaning in to kiss me.

She trails her hand down my stomach, and my cock springs to attention as her fingers glide over my skin, sparking an electric heat to course through me. Thank god, we slept naked last night.

“Were the six orgasms I gave you last night not enough?”

Everly bats her eyelashes, feigning innocence. “Last night? What happened last night? I think I need a refresher.” She grips my hard-on, and I groan at being held by her.

This woman is insatiable. I fucking love it.

Without warning, I move her onto her back, settling above her with my legs on either side of her hips, locking her arms in place above her head. “God, you’re going to be my undoing, Everly Stafford.”

Her eyes widen at hearing me use her married name, and a ghost of a smile tugs at her lips. “Are you going to keep staring, or are you going to fuck me?” she goads.

“Be careful what you wish for. You’re going to be deliciously sore by the time we’re done,” I whisper as I drive into her with abandon.

Everly and I are cuddled on the couch, watching a movie, as I absentmindedly stroke her hair, savoring the domestic bliss of spending the night with my wife.

It took some effort to convince her to break away from her work, but after I compromised with the promise of multiple orgasms later, she was all in.

She tilts her head to look up at me when the elevator dings. There’s only one other person who has access to my apartment, and we thought he was still out of town.

“Everyone decent?” Theo’s voice echoes through the entryway.

Everly scrambles from the couch and runs to meet him. I pause the movie and get up to follow her. When I round the corner, she’s throwing her arms around Theo’s neck.

“You’re here,” she exclaims. “I missed you so much.”

“I missed you too, sis.” Theo holds her close, pressing a kiss to her hair.

Their twin bond was evident growing up, and I can only imagine how difficult it is for them to spend long periods of time apart now that they’re adults.

Everly pulls back to get a better look at Theo. “How are you here?”

“I finished in Barcelona early and came straight to see you. My driver was halfway to your apartment before I remembered you were staying here.” He side-eyes me.

“Why don’t we all go into the kitchen, and I can make us ice cream sundaes?” Everly suggests, doing her best to defuse the situation before it escalates.

Theo gives me a curt nod as he passes.

Him visiting us is a good start, but it’s obvious he’s still not thrilled that I married Everly. Normally, we keep in touch when he’s away on business, but this time, he’s been quiet, offering only a brief response when I’ve reached out. I get why he’s upset, but I’m confident he’ll eventually come around.

At least, I hope so.

He’s the most important person in Everly’s life, and I’ll do whatever it takes to make sure she’s able to maintain a healthy relationship with us both.

We follow her into the kitchen, watching as she removes a tub of vanilla ice cream from the freezer and grabs bowls from the cupboard.

“Why am I not surprised you bought the cheap ice cream?” Theo teases her as he sits on a barstool and leans his arms on the countertop.

“My unrefined palate thinks it tastes just as good as the artisan ice cream you prefer that costs double the price.” She gives him a coy grin. “Besides, you won’t notice the difference once it’s slathered in chocolate syrup and whipped cream.”

Theo shakes his head and turns to me. “She’ll never learn, will she?”

“Ev’s got a point,” I say. “She made chocolate fudge sundaes the other day, and you can’t tell the difference.”
