Page 40 of Trusting the Team

“Teacher.”

“GSM.”

Scott’s eyebrows raised, “huh?”

“Gas Turbine Systems Mechanic. A mechanic,” Embry answered.

Dari jumped in, “Scott’s family is in wine.”

“Like a winery?” Maddox chimed in.

“We own and operate a small label,” Scott smiled holding up the wine bottle at the table. “’Bold in Red’ is your label?” Dari asked. Scott tipped his head.

“This is our favorite wine!” Embry added.

CHAOS

Outside the reception the team was gathered, they watched Scott walk in with Dari. “What’s going on and I’m not leaving Brooke alone for long,” Hammer started quickly. Chaos took in his team’s faces.

“Scott and I, live together.”

“Ok,” the team turned to head toward the party.

“No,” Chaos insisted. The team turned back. “We’ve been together for a while now. He’s my lover.” The team looked at each other.

Hammer backed off first, “I need to get back to Brooke.” The rest of the team followed. Chaos stood quietly in his own thoughts, turning to watch the team enter the reception.

Scott watched Chaos enter after the rest of his team. The team sat at the head table. The reception went without a hitch. Scott came up to Chaos at the table as the reception turned to dancing and chatting. “Time to go?”

Chaos looked up at him, “Yeah.” Chaos stood. They started toward the exit. Dari caught Scott’s glance and waved quickly as she spun in Cowboy’s arms on the floor.

“What happened?” Scott asked as they settled back into his Jeep.

“I think they need a few days.” The ride back to their house was quiet. Scott covered Chaos’ hand on the gear shift as they continued.

SCOTT

Chaos continued to be distracted when he came home from work. Scott decided to take a trip home, it would be easier to wait for Chaos’s team decision.

Walking in from the vines one afternoon, Scott looked up Chaos was waiting for him. Chaos had been watching him for a while, nearly drooling. Scott was wearing a faded, old baseball cap, white A-shirt, tight jeans, and boots.

“Andy, what are you doing here?”

“If you always look like this here, I was an idiot not to come out sooner,” Chaos continued looking at him.

“Andy,” Scott looked around to see if anyone was watching. Chaos grabbed him by the front of the jeans, pulling him in. Scott met his kiss wholeheartedly, wrapping his arms around Chaos’s neck; one hand in his hair, the other on the back of his neck.

“I want you,” Chaos barely got out between kisses.

“I can tell,” Scott bumped into his hips. Chaos heel hooked and took Scott gently to the ground. His tongue started to lick at the sweat on Scott’s neck. Scott moaned, his hands grabbing at Chaos’s shirt and button on his shorts.

“While I’m always up for some excitement—” a female said behind them. They both froze, Chaos looked into Scott’s eyes. Scott smiled, looking past Chaos and down his body to his sister. His sister stood with her hands tucked into her jean pockets, slim frame, blue eyes like her brother, blonder hair.

“Hey, little sis,” he answered. Scott slid out from under Chaos, “What are you back from school for?”
