I hope you did. Won’t know until tonight
I look at the text before opening the fantasy app. She doesn’t have any players playing on Monday, so she’s done for the week after this next game. But her opponent has a player—a kicker. She’s currently far enough ahead that I don’t think she has to worry.
I think you’ll be fine. How’s dinner?
Leo told the guys that he couldn’t go out with them because the family was going out to dinner. I really am glad that they get time with their parents.
Peaches
It’s good. Leo ate the entire appetizer. But then ordered three more for the table.
I bet he ate one of those three too, didn’t he?
How’d you know?
Psychic.
I bet. When’s your birthday by the way?
April 27th, why?
Oh you poor, poor fool. You should know better than to give a woman your birthday.
Why?
No reason. What time were you born?
3:11 in the afternoon… why. I’m scared.
You should be.
I’m shaking.
The texts stop after that, and I know they’re probably eating.
I wish I was there with them.

ISLA
Ihaven’t heard much from the guys today. It’s Monday, and I know that Leo said he had things going on, but I haven’t heard much from Owen either. I busy myself with my paintings, finishing my fourth for my showing, starting to feel a little less stressed. I’m starting to actually like the paintings I’ve been finishing, and although I think I’ll always be a bit overly critical, I’m genuinely happy with these.
Around four in the afternoon Mila texts me asking to hang out, and I let her know I have the night open. I’m just going to be watching the football game.
I hurriedly clean the main living area, making sure everything is tidy. Mila wouldn’t care, but I do.
When I’m finally done, all I can do is think about texting Owen.
Isla
Hey, I hope you’re having a nice Victory Monday
The second I hit send I feel butterflies erupt in my stomach, and I flop down on my couch, annoyed with myself.
How did I let myself get this attached?
