“I…”
Ben could feel fear grow in her. “Remember, you have nothing to fear from us.”
“How do I know that?”
“Because you are our mate.”
She sat in shock for the longest time, making them think she hadn’t really heard them.
“Did you hear us?”
She nodded. “Yes, I just don’t know what to say. Why both of you?”
Ben shrugged. “Our pack has been known to have menage relationships. It’s in our genetics. It’s like families that have twins or triplets. If someone in your family has had them, you’re more likely to have them.”
“How do you know I’m your mate?”
Both men laughed.
“It’s your scent.”
Jenna gasped and then frowned at Rowan. “You’re saying I stink?”
“You smell like a dream to us,” Ben told her. “But only us. Other shifters will smell our scent and know you’re ours, especially after we mate. Humans won’t smell anything.”
“We mate?”
“Yes, we make love like humans, but the feelings are more powerful. We also stay aroused for each other and will, to some extent, for the rest of our lives.”
“You’re saying we’ll be together forever? How can you know that?”
“Because with wolf shifter mates, that’s all it can be. Especially after we take you together, you won’t want to be away from us for very long. You won’t be able to. It gets painful. For all of us. If you left now, Rowan and I would always have discomfort.”
Jenna looked back and forth. “What if you find another mate?”
Ben shook his head. “There is no other mate for us. We get one chance at it.”
Rowan gained her attention. “Before you say anything, I must tell you that we would also die an earlier death than normal if we lived without our mate. No pressure, though,” he said and grinned.
She snorted. “I don’t know what to believe.”
“Would it help if we showed you?” Ben asked.
“How?”
“We’ll bring our wolves out. If you see us shift, you won’t be able to deny it.”
“Will they hurt me?”
Ben shook his head. “No, never, Pet. You’re the other half of our soul.”
She nodded at Rowan. “Okay.”
Rowan lifted her off his lap and sat her in the chair. Both men stood and started pulling off their clothes.
Her eyes widened. “Wait, what are you doing?”
“Our wolves can’t wear clothes, so if we don’t take them off, they’ll rip,” Ben explained.
