“I appreciate the effort,” he said. “You can relay that to your sister too.”
“It was her idea. I have to admit I like the way I look in it.”
“You should,” he said. “Just like bacon.”
She started to laugh and her shoulders relaxed. Her sexy shoulders had him running a finger over and down her arm.
Her skin was soft and smooth. Almost like silk.
“Are we going to sizzle or burn?” she asked.
“Why don’t we go find out,” he said, reaching for her hand and pulling her to his room.
He’d love nothing more than to take her right here against the wall. But Erica wasn’t that type of woman.
At least he didn’t think so.
And not for the first time either.
They got to his room, he shut the door, then pulled her into his arms.
Their kiss this time was more feverish than it’d been before.
It was like they both knew they were getting what they were waiting for so they didn’t have to hold back.
He pulled her shirt out of her shorts and over her head.
She did the same to him.
“Darn,” she said. “You’ve got more muscles on you than I thought.”
She was touching his chest, his arms and his waist.
“Just because I sit behind a desk doesn’t mean I’m soft.”
“I’m hoping nothing on you is soft.”
He burst out laughing. This wasn’t the woman that had been on his mind for months.
“Don’t worry about that,” he said.
He undid her shorts and dropped them down, the silky smooth undergarments she had on were more than he expected too.
“Do you like what you see?”
“I do,” he said.
“Let me see if I like what you’ve got,” she said shyly.
He put his finger under her chin to get her to look at him. “Don’t be anyone you’re not.”
“I’m being me,” she said. “Or trying to be. I think I always have these words trapped in my head and they are wiggling their way out.”
Which was better in his mind.
“Good,” he said. “I just wanted to make sure.”
“I wouldn’t do anything I didn’t want to do,” she said.
