It didn’t help that his balance was still off from the explosion and crash. If he was going to make sure he was the only one who walked away he needed to be smart. Breaker took wild swings with his knife as they circled each other keeping Highdive from getting too close.

The matte black of his Glock caught his eye. It was only a few yards away. Highdive dove for the gun as Breaker charged him. The pain of metal biting into his leg was only a minor distraction. The knife wound wasn’t deep enough to stop him from rolling to his feet.

The BB’s president snarled but froze as he looked down the barrel of the weapon.

“Throw away the knife and get on your knees,” Highdive shouted.

Breaker dropped to his knees with a glare.

What the hell was he going to do with a prisoner? For the first time since he’d regained consciousness Highdive took the time to look around. About twenty yards away his bike was a mangled wreck. Next to it was an ATV he didn’t recognize. His comm was missing so he couldn’t call for backup. Maybe the ATV had something in the saddlebags that he could use to tie this asshole up.

The gunfire that had been close by had stopped. Hopefully that meant Sharp and Hannibal had taken out the rest of the crew who had broken through the eastern fence. The sounds of distant battle had slowed too. It was obvious there was still fighting going on near the Clubhouse but hopefully that would be over soon as well.

From the left came the roar of a motorcycle approaching at speed. Please let it be one of his Brothers. The bright morning sun glinted off the crimson paint almost making it look like the bike was about to catch on fire. Diana’s usually neat braid was a mess of loose, brown curls that whipped behind her as she rode like she was at the head of a demon army.

Something in his chest relaxed. She was alive. Everything would be okay. Somehow he knew together there wasn’t anything they couldn’t handle.

That was if she didn’t run him over.

The crazy woman skidded to a stop less than five feet from him and launched herself into his arms. It was as if she didn’t even notice the gun he had pointed at the man kneeling less than ten feet away. He caught her with his free arm and tried not to stumble or groan in pain. His ribs were bruised along with the rest of him from the crash.

The minute her lips touched his none of that mattered. She owned him body and soul and nothing as insignificant as bruises or a tiny knife wound was going to dim the passion between them. She clutched onto the back of his head with one hand as their tongues dueled in the most primal of ways.

A gunshot shocked him out of the spell she had cast and he looked over expecting Breaker to have found a weapon while he had been distracted. The man’s sightless eyes met his and Highdive scowled at Diana.

“You shot him?”

She shrugged, her legs still wrapped around his waist and her weapon already re-holstered. “He was crawling for his rifle.”

“It’s out of ammunition.”

“How was I supposed to know that?” Diana nipped his neck. “Do you really care?”

Did he? There was very little chance that they would have let him live after what had happened here today. It was doubtful the man had any useful information so really she had saved him a lot of hassle. “I guess I don’t.”

She licked at the shell of his ear sending a shiver down his spine and making his cock go painfully hard. “You let me fight without you. I wasn’t sure you would.”

“I wasn’t sure I would either.” He ran a hand over her wild hair. “I still don’t like the idea of you in danger, but I do trust you to take care of yourself. I love you, Diana.” He took her mouth with a kiss that tried to say everything he felt. The world slipped away for a moment and it was just the two of them sharing a passionate moment.

He pulled back with a sigh. “Probably not the right time for this.”

She smiled. “Why not?”

He raised an eyebrow and lifted her off him and back onto her feet. “I can still hear gunshots towards the Clubhouse. We’re wearing armor and I don’t know if there are more enemies on the grounds, or if everyone at the house is okay.”

She stepped back and gave him a smile that could tempt a priest to sin. “Armor comes off. I still have my comm so I’ll know if they need us. Hawk and my sister have things covered at the Clubhouse and no one got within fifty yards of the house with the women and children.”

All of his training flew out the window. As she backed away from him. There were so many reasons that they shouldn’t get distracted. So many things he had to get done. He should check on his Brothers. Get a casualty count. Make sure that all the families were safe.

But as Diana gave him her sensual smile and dropped to her knees, none of those things mattered. With her back to him, the tempting siren hooked her fingers under the belt at her waist and slowly dragged her pants down over her hips. The sight of the pale gorgeous flesh of her ass as she looked over her shoulder at him caused him to groan in defeat. Fuck it, his Brothers could wait.

The hunger in her eyes matched his own as she dropped to all fours revealing the pink folds of her pussy. Moisture glistened between her legs and he no longer cared about anything except getting her wrapped around his cock. Highdive strode forward undoing his own belt.

For too many years he had believed that finding his perfect partner meant being with someone who slid into his life seamlessly. It was a comfortable delusion where nothing in his life changed. She wouldn’t have differing opinions or cause him to question his own actions. In other words, boring.

Diana had taught him that a good partner pushed you to be better. They complimented rather than matched or mirrored you. With her in his life he would never be bored. Partnership was the willingness to not only follow but lead. To have someone who would lean on you as well as hold you up when you needed them to.

He wanted a lover, a friend, and a partner. Someone who tempted his body and challenged his mind. Diana was all those things.
