Wait, did I say it out loud?
Leora finally turned around right as Booth came up behind her and they both fired and missed. Neither of their vests lit up with any hits. Leora circled around the wall and now they were both on either side of a single wall. I didn’t know if it was fluke, or a calculated decision, but Leora walked to the edge of the wall that she circled around from, poked her head out and saw Booth’s back.
Just as Leora was about to point and shoot, Booth turned and charged at her. They both fell, their guns slipped away, and they wrestled on the floor with Booth on top.
“Now,that’sa cat fight,” Logan whistled.
“Sebastian,” I said in a monotone, “Can Ronan join Operation Icarus? Because I’m going to kill Logan tonight.”
Logan snickered and then shushed me.
Fucker.
Booth landed a punch to Leora’s jaw and I winced. In a practiced jiu jitsu move, Leora trapped Booth’s legs, grabbed her neck and launched herself until she was on top.
They both paused for a beat and Leora nodded. They both got up, stepped away from each other like they were on time out, and removed their vests and helmets.
Leora rolled her neck and Booth cracked her knuckles as they approached each other. Without any fight, they carefully lied down in the same position as they were before, and continued their fight.
At one point they were side to side on the floor, Leora propped her legs up, and push-kicked Booth.Booth slid almost a meter and rolled. I knew those legs were strong, butwoah.
Leora and Booth got enough time to stand up on their feet and start throwing punches instead. They both launched uppercuts, hooks, body kicks, and face kicks, and both of them skillfully ducked and blocked.
“C’mon, Leo. You got this. You’ve sparred withme. Delara is nothing!” Logan growled.
Zane cleared his throat and I swore I saw a smile on Sebastian’s face.
Leora ducked and launched a hard uppercut to Booth’s jaw and her head snapped back. I could see Booth got angry, because she launched a series of quick combination punches that Leora almost blocked. Almost.
She got hit thrice, once on her ribs, once on her cheekbone, and a straight landed on her throat.
Fuck.
Booth was good.
Leora stumbled back and hit the wall behind her. She paused for a beat, shook her head, and regained her footing.
Then she squared her shoulders, dipped her chin down and tilted her face on one side, like a fucking psychopath.
Ooh, my woman is pissed.
She leisurely strolled towards Booth and I could see Booth was a bit confused. She fidgeted, unable to anticipate what Leora’s next move would be. In the blink of an eye, Leora hurled herself at her, and they both tumbled to the floor, starting to grapple.
Leora maneuvered to position herself behind Booth, but Booth wrapped her arm around Leora’s neck and squeezed. Leora slid down, slipped out ofher looped arm and finished on top of Booth.
There was more grappling, position switches and I lost track of which one was Leora. Their labels on the screen were overlapping each other and both had similar builds.
Finally, one of them had the other in another choke hold. The one getting choked tried getting out, struggling to breathe.
“Wait, who’s the one choking?” I asked.
Logan chuckled, “Your woman.”
Booth finally tapped Leora’s arm and they released each other. They both got up, and shook hands.
Leora won.
I couldn’t grasp the fact that my Leora had just won against a former MI6 agent. She did take a few painful hits, but came out on top. I was so damn proud of her.
