“Sleep in here with me tonight,” Ace murmured.
Ivo’s heart skipped. “You don’t mind?”
Ace huffed. “Sweetheart. I want to steal you away and make you mine.”
“We’ve only known each other for two days!”
Ace covered Ivo’s belly with a large hand. “I knocked you up. I’m going to make sure you get everything you need.”
“Well, put that way... I guess you can do that.”
“Good.”
They lay quietly for a while, until Ivo’s stomach groaned unattractively. He winced. “I didn’t eat all that long ago.”
“But you’re hungry again?”
Ivo nodded.
“Harvey, send up a tray of snacks,” Ace said. After a pause, he told Ivo, “It’ll be up shortly.”
Ivo was going to wait quietly, except he remembered what the butler had said earlier. “He’s not going to add pickup lines to the tray, is he?”
Ace stiffened behind him. “Fuck. Harvey, don’t.Harvey—”
A moment passed. Ace groaned, long and low.
“What’s wrong?” Ivo asked.
“He’s getting his damn brother to ‘help’ him with the tray.” Ace pinched the bridge of his nose.
“Is that a bad thing?”
“Two butlers?Yes.” Ace covered Ivo’s ears, then raised his voice. “Hassel, you’re not allowed in here!”
Twin cackles sounded from somewhere in the mansion.
“Fuck,” Ace said.
“You’ve never banned him from doing this before?”
“I’ve never—” Ace stopped talking. When Ivo peeked over his shoulder, he realized that Ace’s face had turned red. Ace frowned.
Ivo grimaced. “Sorry. I shouldn’t have asked.”
“No, it isn’t your fault. I’m just...” Ace took a deep breath. “What I’m about to tell you, I’ve never told any omega before.”

ACROBATIC MORNING SICKNESS
Ivo held his breath, trying his best to look deserving of Ace’s trust.
“I feel a little self-conscious,” Ace admitted. “You’re the first person I’ve brought home.”
Ivo stared. “What? How? You’re hundreds of years old. Surely I’m not the only one.”
“Well, you’re not thefirstfirst person I’ve brought home. But you’re the first in a very long time,” Ace said quietly. “Back when I was a wee lil dragonet, before I had a butler, I used to have a mate. He was a human with a bit of magic, just enough to get pregnant. We’d talked about raising a big family. But before that could happen, my mate fell ill and died. We didn’t have a spell to cure his illness back then.
