Drew: That’s exactly what I was worried YOU were going to tell me.

Tess: Seriously? Or are you messing with me?

Drew: Why would I mess with you? I’m being serious. Just because I’m a guy doesn’t mean I want to be rejected.

Tess: You’re not just a guy. You’re Drew freaking Colter

Drew: Drew FREAKING Colter? LOLOL

Tess: Quit acting like you’re normal, and you grew up normal around here—everyone treated y’all like gods, and you know it.

Drew: Not me. My brothers, yes. Me, no.

Tess: I’m rolling my eyes so hard. You are all one and the same. No offense, but…

Drew: Fine. I’m stuck with the Colter last name, and you’re right, it comes with certain…stigmas.

Tess: Stigmas? You say it as if it were a bad thing.

Drew: Long story that we don’t have to get in to right now, but honestly, there are days I wish I’d been born into a normal family that didn’t come with such high expectations.

Tess: I’m sure it’s been a lot of pressure.

Drew: Yeah.

Drew: There is no such thing as taking a day off from it.

Tess: I’m sorry.

Drew: Hey, don’t be. It is what it is

Tess: It sounds so depressing when you put it like that. “It is what it is.”

Drew: Okay but it is LOL

Tess: I KNOW but you don’t have to SAY it like that!

Drew: Blah. Change the subject, then.

Tess: Let’s get back to the original subject: the one where you were scared I was going to tell you this weekend was just fun, no let’s be friends, don’t make it weird.

Drew: You forgot the bit about “Don’t tell Grady.”

Tess: Why on earth would I tell my BROTHER? Wait. Didn’t he ask where you’d gone off to when you didn’t show back up at his place Saturday night?

Drew: No actually he did not. He just assumed I went back to someone’s place and banged her.

Tess: I mean…you did.

Drew: He doesn’t have to know that. I don’t need my ass kicked.

Tess: Don’t make me laugh. Grady could not kick your ass. You’re like twice his size.

Drew: It doesn’t matter how big he is. If he’s pissed enough, he could probably take me LOL

Tess: Eh, I doubt it.

Drew: You get my point, though. The last thing I need is my best friend from high school knowing I slept with his sister.
