Too choked up for words I rest my hand on her thigh and give it a gentle squeeze. She presses a kiss to the center of my back before pressing herself closer.

With the sun about to set and night about to fall I know exactly what I must do.

Then I’ll have everything I have ever wanted for the rest of my life.

The ride to our destination isn’t long. But with her holding on to me I wish the ride was longer. There’s no better feeling than having my girl wrapped around me.

I park the bike at the beginning of the familiar path. The sun has already set but for what I have planned I need the stars.

Getting off first I offer her my hand and she takes it without hesitation. Then I sweep her up in my arms. She gasps in surprise but ends up with a serene smile as she loops her arms around my neck.

I carry her through the trail like I did so many months ago. When I just got her back in my life again. I carry her to the place where she finally told me for the first time that she loved me.

With the sun already set and dusk upon us it casts a beautiful glow on the water. There’s a steady wave that you can hear. The water flowing at a steady pace to keep one calm.

“This place is so beautiful,” she sighs happily.

I look down at her taking in the scenery. A sight ten times more beautiful. “Stunning.” Her eyes meet mine and the blush returns to her cheeks. She regards me shyly, but I see the love overflowing in her eyes.

“Stunning,” she echoes with her eyes locked on mine. There goes my heart again. This time beating ferociously in my chest.

I swallow. All the emotions rushing through me. “Lay down with me?”

“Always.”

She slides down my body rather slowly. I can feel every inch of her pressed against my skin. I stifle back a groan as her feet finally hit the ground. Taking her hand, I lead her further down. Stopping at the end of the grass we both then lay down and gaze up at the night sky.

Stars begin to blanket the black sky showcasing the millions for us to wish upon.

Only one more of my wishes must come true.

Nerves begin to take hold as I find my hand trembling.

Alice is laid perfectly by my side. She then hooks her pinky with mine.

Swallowing the ball in my throat I then order ever so softly, “Make a wish, angel.”

“All my wishes have already come true,” she replies happily.

My heart flips in my chest. Christ this girl makes me feel fucking everything at once.

“I have one more to make.”

“Oh?”

I keep my eyes on the stars and find the brightest one. There in the sky furthering on the right-hand side is a star that burns brighter than the others.

One last wish.

One that I fucking hope comes true.

Stars don’t fail me now.

“Close your eyes with me while I make it.” I glance over at her and see that her eyes are already closed but there’s a soft smile on her face.

I take a deep breath that doesn’t settle my nerves at all but fuck it.
