She leaned away from him with a soft growl and hooked her hand behind his neck. She lifted from him, sliding her heat up and then down. As she moved faster on him, he slid his hands under her thighs and helped her move, lifting his own hips to meet her movements. They moved together, harder, faster, and she kissed him once and then leaned back fully, letting go of him and grasping his knees. Her whole body was on display for him as she flexed her hips.

Giving her hips a little squeeze, he slid one hand across her abdomen and let his thumb graze her clit. She groaned and her hips moved faster. She snuggled against him. “That was pretty freaking hot.”

“Next time,” she said, looking up at him coyly, “let’s try the bed.”

“You got it, gorgeous.”

There was a long, quiet moment where neither of them said anything. Then she whispered, “Can it be next time already?”

“I thought you’d never ask.”

He rose to his feet with her in his arms and duck-walked to the bedroom with his pants falling around his ankles. Dropping her to the bed, he stripped quickly and joined her, their laughter morphing into moans of pleasure, and making this the best full moon of his life.

Because they were waiting for Alli to show up at some point, Sadie and Gavin didn’t fall asleep after their second time together, which had rocked her world entirely. Different than the first, hurried coupling, the next time was nothing short of the first bloom of love.

It was incredible to her how much she liked him already and how connected she felt. She knew that falling in love would happen in time, but she was half in love with him already. Her sexy, sexy tiger.

He had short, dark hair and hazel eyes rimmed with thick lashes, and holy crap was he built with muscles on top of muscles and a body made for wonderfully wicked things.

Gavin had shared his past with her, which was very normal. Cliched, almost. His parents were mated and loved each other, he and his only sister adored each other, he had a high rank within the pride, lots of friends, and a stable job. Not to mention his nice house.

She had none of those things, aside from her mom, who loved her.

Her friends had abandoned her when the alpha declared her cursed, and although she’d considered Maggie the librarian afriend of sorts and would miss their bookish chats, she’d only really had her mom.

“So then they asked me if I’d take over the available security job and I was all for it. No more driving an hour to downtown every day. Although I did like getting to see Aeryn at the end of my shift for dinner from time to time.”
