Jordan sat up, pulled her to him, and covered her lips. His salty essence touched his taste buds as he toyed with her tongue.

“I guess you liked it,” she said, breaking the kiss and breathing heavy.

“I loved it. Not many women swallow.”

“I wanted to see how you tasted.” Her cheeks turned pink.

“It’s a nice way to wake up.” He leaned back, pulling her onto his chest.

“Well, I thought it fair since you did it for me the last time.”

“It wasn’t necessary.” This woman could surprise him.

“I know, but I wanted to.” Her cheeks turned darker.

She was hiding something. And then it dawned on to him. “You saw this happen in the club last night?” Crystal ducked her head, and he knew he’d scored. “Aw, sweetheart.” He put his fingers beneath her chin and raised her head up. “Nothing to be embarrassed about.”

“I can’t help it.” She kept her lashes lowered. “There are times I still hear my parents saying sex is a sin.”

No wonder she’d been so conflicted about things. “There is nothing wrong with sex or enjoying it. Your parents had sex to have you and your brothers and sisters.”

“According to my mom, you endure for procreation.”

Jordan wanted to smack both her parents. “Sex for pleasure is not a sin.” He ran his fingers over her cheek. “What you did for me was wonderful.”

She shook her head.

“Then what is it? Because there is something else.”

When she didn’t say anything, Jordan moved. He rolled her onto her back with him over her so he could see her face better. Color was still high in her cheeks. Her nipples rubbed against his chest, and her legs entwined with his. All good signs.

“Look at me, Crystal.” He kept his tone low and even. “Now.” She raised her lashes at the command behind the word. Her eyes were wary. “Now tell me what has you so worried?” He needed and wanted to know so he could help her.

She cleared her throat. “I was told I was unresponsive in bed.”

Jordan blinked several times, not believing the words she’d spoken. There was no way he could do this lying on top of her. He rolled to his side and sat up. A soft sigh floated in the air.

“You…” He turned and maneuvered her body around his until she was sitting in his lap. “…are very responsive.” He placed his palm on her cheek. “The asshole who told you that knows nothing about women.”

“But—”

He placed his fingers against her lips. “No. He’s wrong. One hundred percent wrong.” Her green eyes widened at his declaration. “You are responsive to the right man. Me.” Her lips curved up, and he removed his fingers.

“You mean that?”

“Yes. Lord, yes. Don’t you know that? Besides, not all men can arouse a woman.”

“So I’m not a cold, unfeeling bitch?”

Jordan’s temper flared, but he tamped it down. No more anger. He wasn’t his father, and he wasn’t mad at her, but he was angry at the ass who’d made her doubt herself as a woman. “No.” He ran his fingers over her naked back, and she shivered. “That tremor there. It was one of arousal.”

“How do you know?”

“You leaned into my touch, didn’t pull away.”

“I guess I never thought about it.”

“So don’t let anyone feed you that kind of bullshit.” He shifted. “I have a question for you.”
