It feels like I waited an eternity to be inside her again. All the fighting, guilt, and anger we experienced this past week merely heightened our emotions, intensifying our reconnections and making it that much hotter. It was downright scorching when we finally came together.
I ignore my hard on – it’s not like he’s been deprived lately – and get ready in a rush. Abby needs me at her house to watch Chloe so she can bring her grandma home from the hospital.
Abby rewards me with a grateful smile when I hand her a steaming cup of coffee. I did keep her up quite late last night, so it’s only right I provide the caffeine. Pulling her in close, I press a quick kiss to her lips. “I missed you this morning,” I confess.
“I missed you too,” she replies sweetly.
I kiss her forehead before releasing her. “Where’s Chloe?” It’s oddly quiet in the house. I’m used to the sounds of giggling and little feet pattering against the floor.
“She’s still asleep. Probably will be for another hour.”
I cock an eyebrow, my libido taking over my brain. “An hour, you say?” I ask, my tone laced with suggestion.
She smiles and shakes her head. “We don’t have time for that. I’m running late as it is.” She kisses me again to lessen the blow.
“It was worth a shot,” I offer, tugging her back into my hold when she tries to pull away. “I woke up rock hard, my face pressed into sheets that smelled like you.”
“Hmm,” she moans as my lips brush against hers.
“It doesn’t matter how many times I have you, I’ll never stop needing more.” My tongue slips into her mouth and she opens up, welcoming me inside. She finally breaks the kiss, her palms pushing against my chest, yet clinging to it just the same. She doesn’t want to deny me, and that makes me so fucking happy. I grin stupidly as I look down at her hands.
“I have to go,” she groans regretfully.
“I know,” I state softly, releasing her. She gathers her things and heads for the door, her eyes swinging back to me, a contented smile on her lips before walking outside. I hope it doesn’t take long to bust her grandma out of the hospital and get her home. Not only will I miss her while she’s gone, but I need things to be settled before I leave. I need to know that all my girls, Ama included, will be okay when I go back to Arlington. In the meantime, I have some phone calls to make.
