His emotional state was satisfied and happy. He was very happy, and so was his magnificent wolf. Troy got a peek at the amazing beast last night, and he was something to behold. The bond between them extends to this beast, and Troy is keen to learn all he can about him. He felt the protective shield that touched him when the wolf's eyes met his, and it was intense.
He looked at the man there wrapped in his arms and marveled at the perfection that lay before him. His beloved was beyond anything he could have dreamed and he thanked Fate for her generosity. His black hair hung loose and messy around his face and it added to his intense wildness. Eamon was smart and strong and good the three most important qualities for a successful leader.
Their bodies fit together like puzzle pieces, all smooth and exact. He moved his hips, pressing his cock against Eamon's thick thigh, and he received a soft moan for his efforts. Eamon pulled him closer and snuggled in.
Troy was fast falling in love with this big wolf everything about the man spoke to Troy he was everything he wanted and needed. Castille was going to be shocked and Troy wondered about his acceptance, but it didn’t matter because his beloved was his life now. Castille would have to find a way to get over his wolf prejudice and learn to get along.
"Why are you staring at me?" Eamon mumbled, his eyes still closed and his face pressed to Troy's shoulder.
“Because I can’t believe how generous Fate was with me. Giving me such an impressive example of male perfection and the most handsome wolf in all creation.” He chuckled when Eamon smiled.
"Wow, that's quite the declaration, but I got to say that I'm the lucky one here. An old wolf like me snagging a gorgeous fashion model that's something you only see in the movies." Eamon rolled to half-cover Troy and was looking down at him with eyes that adored him. It was a feeling Troy had never experienced having someone adore you and show it so wholly and honestly. "I'm pretty sure I'm falling in love, Troy." He saidthis and pressed a kiss on Troy's lips, and it felt wonderful, both hot and endearing at the same time.
“My wolf tastes so good in the morning.” Troy crooned and ran his tongue along Eamon’s lower lip making him tremble just a little and close his eyes.
"Keep that up, and we may never leave this bed today," Eamon responded in a tone deep with desire and kissed him again, but this time it was hard and heated. Troy wrapped his leg around Eamon and pulled him closer, and then a loud buzzing began to sound.
Eamon could not believe how bad the timing was for a visitor. He'd contacted Aaron and told him to take the night off, and he headed out to spend the evening with friends. Eamon wanted to have the house completely to himself and Troy, and now there was no one to answer the fucking door. This was the Pack House, and the door must be answered.
He rolled over and stared at the ceiling for a few seconds before getting up and pulling on his jeans. “I have to answer.” He said and Troy laughed. “Yeah, I sent Aaron home not realizing that the door and the phone were now my problem. Remind me never to do that again.”
“You will never do that again.” Eamon headed out of the room and Troy got up and headed off to the bathroom. Eamon paused to appreciate the utter handsomeness of his mate then he turned and was on his way. He wasn’t wearing a shirt or shoes but whoever was at the door at this time would just have to deal with it.
He grabbed the large iron handle and jerked the door open and was surprised to see former Deputy Bates on his porchlooking contrite with a side of cocky it was an odd mix. He didn’t speak and waited for Bates to state his business.
"May I speak with you, Alpha?" Eamon stepped back and motioned him inside. They walked to the living area not far from the front door.
"Sit and state your business." Eamon wasn't in the mood to entertain the wolf who had abused his mate. Bates sat on the sofa, and Eamon sat across from him in one of the padded armchairs. He eyed Eamon for a minute before making his pitch.
"I know I fucked up and let my personal prejudice interfere with good judgment." He began, but his eyes never met Eamon's. "Is there any way that I . . . is there anything that I can do to redeem myself? I love my job and would do anything for another chance to show you that I can do better?" He finished and finally looked at Eamon but did not hold his eyes for long.
Eamon noticed Bates take several deep breaths and covertly glance around the area. He sounded sincere, but there was something about the man that did not ring true. Eamon wasn't getting a good read on him, which was odd. The sense that he was getting was muddled and vague. Perhaps Bates had a mind and emotions that were muddled and vague. Either way, it did not speak well of the man.
He couldn't give him an answer right now. The endorphins, euphoria from claiming his mate, and the overall upset of last night were still stirring his emotions. He wasn't in a headspace to be dealing with this right now.
"Check back with me at the end of the week." That was the best he could do for him, and it was more than enough considering his offenses. Bates stood and nodded appropriately, deferring to his Alpha.
“Thank you sir.” He said and as he was turning toward the door Troy walked by the archway that led to the kitchen. Eamon wasn’t sure if Bates noticed him or not again he could not get a read on him it was just the same muddled information and feelings.
Bates hurried to the door and was gone without making any further comment. Eamon was left with the sense that something was off he put in a call to Sean before following his mate into the kitchen.
"I didn't mean to interrupt," Troy said while adeptly making coffee and toast. "This kitchen is lovely. Did I mention that I like to cook? I'm not very good, but I like to keep trying." He laughed.
"You can cook for me anytime." Eamon came up behind him and wrapped his arms around him, drinking in his amazing scent. "I can't get enough of you, Troy."
Troy turned his head and placed a kiss on Eamon's cheek, and the morning just seemed so damn perfect. "We have a lot of things to discuss," Troy said as he buttered the toast and poured the coffee. Eamon agreed and reached around him to take one of the cups of coffee, and they both headed for the table situated by the glass doors, which gave a nice view of the wooded backyard.
Once they were seated Troy handed him a piece of toast. Eamon slathered it with strawberry jam and took a bite. “You make great toast.” He declared and took another bite.
“Thank you, It’s one of my specialties.” He teased. He shook his head and smiled. “I love being so connected to you Eamon. Your wolf is magnificent and so attentive.”
“Yeah, he loves you too and would die for you in a heartbeat.” Eamon finished his toast and took another and slathered it with strawberry jam. “I’d like for you to move in andfor us to start our lives together as soon as possible preferably right now.” He smiled.
“You are the Alpha, and my brother is the Coven Second so we will both have some explaining to do.” Troy reminded.
“Anyone who has a problem with you is free to go find another pack. I will not tolerate any opposition or complaint.” Eamon would make that very clear. “You are the Alpha Mate, and you will be respected.
"My brother will have issues, I'm sure, but he understands the sacred power of a Fated bond. You are my beloved, and nothing eclipses that in our world. He'll come around . . . in time, I'm almost sure." Troy paused thoughtfully and then asked. "Was that Deputy Bates at the door this morning?"
