I stare. Then decide it needs another egg.And aren’t I supposed to season this or something?I scratch my head before giving up and pulling out my phone to find a recipe. As I do, I hear Leena’s giggle and Luke’s hearty laugh coming from the bedroom. I chuckle, because those two are always laughing about something. Doesn’t matter what it is, it’s all smiles with them, all the time. A pair of sunshine and fucking rainbows walking around.

It’s infuriating. But it makes me smile.

Just as I pull up some mommy-influencers page to figure out how to cook a damn egg, there is a loud commotion coming from the hallway.

“What in the fuck are they doing,” I mumble.

I look up just in time to see Luke stumble into the kitchen carrying a half-naked Leena. She is wearing his sweatpants and no shirt. Her legs are wrapped around his waist and they are making out like they need each other’s mouths in order to breathe.

Luke slams her into the wall across from me, then pins her hands above her head, interlacing their fingers as he takes her mouth again and grinds up against her.

He’s not wearing anything at all.

I stand there, holding my spatula in one hand, myphone in the other and an unamused grin on my face as I stare at his bare ass.

This is what happens when I try to do something nice.

After a few gasping moments, Luke moves his hands to Leena’s thighs, she wraps her arms around his neck and he turns quickly, lying her down across the kitchen island next to the stove.

Luke trails wet kisses down her stomach as he slides the sweatpants off, then buries his face between her legs. He groans in pleasure and she takes in a sharp breath.

“Really?” I ask, gesturing with my spatula to theprojectthat I have going on inches away.

“Sorry, we didn’t…” Leena’s breath hitches again as Luke buries his tongue deeper, “want you to feel…” she gasps, her back arching off the counter, “left out.”

I let out a grumble, then look towards the pan, then back at them.

Luke stands up straight, then grabs behind Leena’s knees, yanking her towards him and slamming his dick straight into her with one rough thrust.

She cries out.

“Fuck it,” I growl out through clenched teeth, throwing down the spatula and turning off the burner.

Chapter Seventeen

LEENA

Igasp for breath.

Normally, I’m great at running. But with these guys? I don’t stand a chance. Luke is way up ahead on the dirt trail that weaves through the trees behind the house and I slow my pace again, trying to catch my breath.

Sebastian is beside me and I know that’s only because he wants to be. I’m pretty sure he hasn’t even broken a sweat yet.

“Doing alright there, sweet thing?” Sebastian says, smirking over at me.

“What do you think?” I glare at him and he laughs. But to be honest, I can’t really complain. Because their shirts are off and I enjoy the view.

We keep a steady jog for several minutes before I finally work up the nerve to ask him the question that has been grating at me since yesterday when I talked to Luke.

“What happened to your family?” I say quietly, not looking at him.

He stops.

When I realize what I’ve said, I stop too and turn to face him.

“Seb, I’m so sorry. You don’t have to tell me, it’s really none of my business.”

“No,” he says, looking at the ground, then slowly raising his eyes to mine. “It’s fine. It’s just… no one has ever asked me that before.”
