CHAPTER 19 – Viv

When I went throughthe transition, my senses were heightened. I could smell things that normals couldn’t, see further, hear better. But that was nothing compared to what happened when I shared my virginity with Brendon and Ace.

I wonder if Viv is too sore for another round?

“Seriously?” I laughed, my voice still scratchy from sleep. I rolled into Brendon, “Protect me from this sex-beast.”

Brendon’s arm wrapped around my waist, but he didn’t open his eyes.

Ace’s, however, flew open.

Did she read my mind?

And it was then that I realized that I heard Ace’s voice, but his lips weren’t moving.

“Oh shit!” I exclaimed, shoving at Brendon’s arm. “How can I hear your thoughts?”

“What?” Brendon mumbled.

“I can hear Ace’s thoughts!”

Brendon snapped to attention. “That is impossible.”

And yet, it is happening, genius.

I snorted, and Brendon gave me a strange look.

“Ace just called you a Genius in a snarky tone, you know, in his head,” I clarified for him, just in case Brendon missed it.

Ace snickered. “As much as I don’t like the invasion of privacy, the look on your face might make it all worth it.”

I concentrated on saying something in my mind.

Brendon and Ace are hot.

Both guys got silly smirks on their faces.

“So, it is safe to assume that you both heard me?”

They nodded.

Ace’s feet stink.

“Shut up asshole!” Ace flipped Brendon off, and I laughed.

“Okay,” I shoved the two of them apart, and it was only then that It dawned on me that we were all still naked. I wish I could say that I was super cool about it. The truth was that I let out a screeching noise and grabbed for the sheet, ripping it over my head.

“We saw a lot more than your breasts last night, Viv,” Ace teased.

I made a mental note to kick him the next time I saw him, but then he called out that he heard that as well. I knew then that we needed to set up some boundaries, because sometimes you just needed to keep your thoughts to yourself.

LATER WE MET IN THEgym to go over some training moves. It appeared that I gained speed and precision as I looked down at a very surprised Brendon. Who I had just tripped and made fall without even breaking a sweat.

I was feeling a little bit like Wonder Woman or some type of superhero because I was always a step ahead of Brendon. When Ace tried to spar with me, I had him immobilized in about thirty seconds. I started feeling a little cocky, like I could take on Cian at any point.

“Why don’t I try the both of you together?” I tossed out the challenge, tipping my head from side to side, cracking my neck.
