Axel sighed, “No, I heard her ask if you were my life mate. Sarah, I know that we are imprinted and that should be good enough for me, but the thought that you might choose another to be your life mate, it fucking rips me to shreds. I hadn’t meant to claim you this way. But you said I was yours and then suddenly I had to make you mine.”

I pushed away from him and sat up, “What does that mean, Life Mate? Kat was saying it earlier.”

He moved to sit up beside me.

“It is similar to marriage on earth.”

“We got married?” I smirked a little bit, “No white dress?”

Axel continued as if I hadn’t spoken, “Only a little more permanent.”

My smile faded, “How permanent?”

“Does forever sound okay to you?”
