If I needed to win her with orgasms before I won her heart, I would do it. As she mewled against my mouth, cradling my face with her little hands, the urge to taste her skin was unbearable. I tugged our lips free, sliding my lips down her cheek.

I swiped my tongue against her neck and the sound that escaped her lips was one of pure pleasure. My hips thrust forward of their own volition, rubbing against my female’s soft stomach. Everything on her was so soft. The opposite of everything I was used to.

She was my solace. The softness that I’d always needed but had never been able to find. She was made for me. Perfect in every way.

Her scent was flooding my senses, making me drunk with her arousal. Her body was readying itself for me and I dipped mylips further, running my tusk against her skin, marking her in the ancient way of my people.

When it was time, I’d bite into the skin of her neck with my fangs, and every male would know that she belonged to me. I bared my fangs at the thought, grazing the delicate skin of her throat so that the lightest mark would appear there. Nothing like a true mating mark, but enough to let other males know that she was being courted and was receptive to me.

A satisfied harrumph left my throat at that thought and my female arched at the tiny sting. Shewhimpered, driving me crazy, but I recited my lineage in the hope that I could hold back my rut.

Rok son of Grun and Malbar, Grun son of Jarl and Paran, Jarl son of…

My female wrapped a leg around mine, jarring me from my attempts to stay sane in her presence. When I realized what she was doing, her sweet pussy pressed against my thigh, victory filled me.

I had her pinned to the door in an instant. I was going to make her come and I was going to do itnow.

The low chuckle of a male orc from behind me was the last thing I wanted to hear. With a feral growl, I spun around, blocking my precious mate from the threat.

“Don’t mind me,” the male who resembled Dristan raised his hands in a passive stance that had me releasing the strangle-hold I’d had on my axe. “I’m Dristan’s brother, Rudgar. I just wanted to make sure you had everything you needed.”

“She’s all I need,” I growled, narrowing my eyes at him and he nodded.

The wistful expression on his face would have been enough for me to attack him, but it wasn’t aimed in my Becca’s direction. No, it was turned inward. It was an expression I knew well. It said everything that I had felt for years.

This male is longing for his mate.

“She will come,” I told him in a gruff voice, and his eyes widened. “I didn’t think I’d ever find my female, but it turned out I just had to wait for her to summon me to this plane. Even when you have no hope left, don’t give up.”

A small smile curled the male’s lips and he gave a solemn nod. “Thanks for that,” he murmured and I nodded.

“Dristan asked me to bring you some things to tide you over until we could take you to buy more,” he said, holding out a satchel—but I had no idea how it was tied. It looked like it was held together by metal fastenings.

Eyebrows raised, I took it from him, knowing I’d have to rip it open in order to use it. How wasteful.

“I have gold,” I told him, tipping my chin up with pride. “I can contribute to our clan.”

“Our clan,” the male said with a grin. “That sounds about right. We seem to be growing in numbers.”

“The bigger the clan, the better,” I told him with a firm nod. “Soon my female and I will have our first young and it will grow even more.”

The male’s eyebrows swept all the way up and he gave a little laugh. “Having met your female, I wish you the best of luck with your plan,” he said.

My lip curled in a sneer. How welldidhe know my female? I would never fault her for any partner she’d had in the past, but if he thought he would have access to her anymore—

“Not like that,” Rudgar assured me, shrugging his shoulders. “We’re just friends. Two mateless clan members before she met you.”

I felt my muscles loosening as my female pressed against me, peeking out at the male. She spoke to him in that nonsensical language of hers and I yearned to be able to speak it as he responded in kind.

“Becca wants me to know that what I saw wasn’t what it looked like,” he told me with a mischievous smirk. “But I’m pretty sure I was about to witness a claiming.”

I grunted, not willing to offend my female by agreeing. I didn’t understand the sexual customs of this plane and if I’d gone too far, I’d face the consequences. Still, she was pressed against me, her heated face against the skin of my back, so it couldn’t have beentoobad.

“Do I give the gold to you or to Dristan?” I asked, reaching into my satchel to grab my gold-pouch. I held my hand out, pouring the gold into my palm.

The male shook his head for a second before his eyes narrowed and then widened on the gold.

“T-that’sdragon’s gold,” he hissed, moving closer in quick strides, peering down at the pile of gold.
