“Use yellow if that changes.”

“Yes, Daddy.”

He checked the harness’ fit and picked up a remote control in his left hand.

A small hum started between her legs.Oh, the butterfly!

He caressed her bottom with his right hand, and the dual sensation had her squirming on his lap.

“I want you to hold still, baby.”

Bound by his words as effectively as she would have been by rope, all Sonja could do was absorb the intensified sensations.

Oh, the man knows what he’s doing.

She took a startled gulp of air as the first volley of slaps landed on her ass. Her first inclination was to clench, but she remembered to relax. Sonja curled her fingers in the long, soft strands of the rug at the foot of the bed. He took his time, alternating between fondling, stroking, and peppering herass with light slaps. The hum of the butterfly was a constant distraction that added to her state of arousal, but it didn’t send her over the edge.

Derek looked down at Sonja’s delectable ass. He massaged the big globes and pulled them apart to take in her dark, puckered entrance. He was dying to introduce her to the pleasure of anal sex, but she wasn’t ready. He could play, though. He wished they could ditch the condoms. The were both clean, but with Sonja’s family history, he wouldn’t want her to use hormone-laden treatment. He would consider a vasectomy; it might be the best way to prevent pregnancy.

Sonja squirmed on his lap, and he realized he had been staring and fantasizing for a bit too long. He smiled. His brat!

He sped up the butterfly, and she stilled her movement and moaned. Now, wasn’t that a lovely sound? Once again, he peppered her cheeks with a volley of light slaps, making sure he spread his aim. He braced his leg muscles and placed his slaps a bit lower, pressing the butterfly harder against her core. A sheen of perspiration on her back showed him she was close. All right, time to finish this!

He used the remote to speed up the butterfly to maximum power and was rewarded with a stiffening of Sonja’s entire body. He landed the last three strokes, and Sonja came with abandon. She almost bucked from his lap, so he anchored her to him with his right arm while he slowed the butterfly to its lowest setting, not wanting to take away all the sensations at once. Sonja shuddered and moaned, and he helped her rise slowly, studying her face for signs of dizziness. When he was satisfied with herstability, he settled her on his lap and pressed her head against his chest.

For a moment, she was silent. Then, with a shuddering exhale, her fingers curled into his shirt, and the dam broke. Silent at first, then deep, shivering sobs. He didn’t hush her, didn’t tell her it was okay—he just held her, rubbing slow circles on her back as she cried. Letting her release whatever storm had been swirling inside her.

When her breathing evened, he reached for a tissue from the nightstand and gently wiped her cheeks. "How do you feel?"

She hesitated and sniffled. "Confused."

Derek pressed a kiss to her temple. "Why?"

"I liked it… and I didn’t. It’s all a jangled mess in my head."

"Ah." He smoothed a hand over her hair, pressing her closer. "Maybe your body liked it, but your mind’s still trying to catch up?"

Sonja stirred against him, sitting up just enough to meet his gaze. "That’s it. That’s exactly it. My emotions and reason aren’t on the same page." Her lips parted, and she seemed to be searching for the right words. "I thought it would hurt—and it did—but in a way that made everything more intense. And I liked that. I liked all of it."

She snuggled back into him, pressing her face to his chest. Derek tightened his arms around her.

They didn’t need words after that.

He could sit here for the rest of his life and be content.

CHAPTER SIXTEEN

On Saturday night, Sonja and Derek arrived at Club Indigo to find the lounge full of regulars having some sort of meeting. Mitch, Julie, Scott, Chris, Kate, Ruby, Sandra, James, Laura, Jackson, and Molly were discussing the munch the club sponsored. Until recently, Sonja had been a regular attendee, so they joined the group as Mitch was saying, “We need more club regulars at the munch, or it’s going to die. Last month, it was just Kate, Julie, and I with ten new people. That kind of balance won’t fly. It’s not a lot to ask the rest of you to turn up once in a while.”

James looked somewhat ashamed. “You’re right, of course, Mitch. Laura and I haven’t been since we got married. We owe that munch a lot. It’s how I found Laura again.” He turned to his wife. “What do you think, hon?”

Laura nodded. “Count us in for next week.”

Chris looked at Ruby. “Have you ever been to the munch?”

“No, Sir. Sounds like fun, though.”

“I’m in, too, barring a crime wave.” Jackson’s comment brought chuckles from everyone who knew he was a cop.
