“There’s the fucking payment for your friends’ services.” I know I’m being ridiculous, but him laughing only pisses me off more. “I’m leaving.”
Turning around, I start toward the door and suddenly he hooks my waist and steps in close holding me tightly to his chest. “Come on now.” I can feel his body vibrate against me and I know he is laughing again. “Don’t leave pissed, you heard me telling them I had a girl.”
I did.
“And you coming in all territorial was pretty hot."
“Fuck you.” Both he and Zac laugh.
I pinch his arm and twist, forcing him to release me. I turn around, facing them both and I get it then. The whole dumb and dumber jokes that roll around here. They are idiots, complete and total goof balls. Both holding their stomachs, snorting with laughter. Both hot, strong men, tattoo’s, piercings and laughing like utter fools.
I can’t help but smile.
“Did you really threaten to tattoo her eyeball?” Zac laughs, holding his side as he wipes at his eyes.
“No.” I cross my arms over my chest. “There was no tattoo talk, I just told her I was going to use it to stab her in the eye.”
Zac laughs harder and Jace cups my face, forcing me to look at him as he moves in closer to give me a kiss. With a swipe of his tongue along the seam of my lips I open enough to suck on the tip and he groans.
“You’re sleeping on the couch Romeo.”
“Not gonna happen.” He smiles, his lips still pressed to my lips. “I’ll be right at your side, holding on to the only woman that makes my heart race.”
“Smooth,” I roll my eyes and he chuckles. “I’m really trying to be okay with showing up to find a couple girls I know you’ve slept with more than once in your room. Her tits and crotch exposed while you are about to pierce her.”
“Just to be clear, I didn’t look at her.”
“You didn’t have to,” I lift a brow, “you know what’s beneath the clothes.”
“The only body I know very well, is yours.”
My anger slowly dissipating because I know he did nothing wrong. He had every opportunity to. He didn’t know I’d shown up. But I heard his attitude before I reached his room. I heard his words and the tone, I knew well. He was pissed off and hanging on by a thread.
“If I ever see that girl here again, I promise you she will be my first client.”
“Oh yeah?” He still holds me close.
“Yes, really, because I’m going to tattoo the word Tuna right across her forehead in big bold letters.”
He tosses his head back laughing, and I can’t help it I smile big.
“I fucking love you, my little bad ass.” He grips my face tight, and kisses me once again. Then tossing his arm over my shoulder he leads me to the front door and out to our awaiting cars.
Climbing inside he followed me back to his house where he spent the evening reminding me again and again just how well he knew my body.
By morning, I’d forgotten all about the two skanks who thought they had more right to my man than I did.
Chapter Thirty-Five
Jace
To this day it still scares me that I won’t be able to be the man Aurora needs and deserves. But she reminds me every day that she is worth the fight. She makes me a better man; she’s my light in the darkness.
Things could have been a little different had she not overheard the conversation taking place in my room last night. I’m thankful she did not walk in after it was done and I was hovered over a girl touching her, while attempting to pierce her without touching her tits.
Aurora was pissed, but most of that was directed at Chrissy. I think having Mac there helped too. I’ll admit had the rolls been reversed, shit would have gone an entirely different direction. I would have to talk to Daxton about not working on those I’ve seen naked. I am fully aware that cuts my clientele list way down, but it is what it is.
Truth is, I don’t want another situation like last night, for me or Ror.
