“Lucky for you, we trust Danner,” Adam tells her with a kiss on her cheek.

“Even if you didn’t, I’d just tell you too bad.” She raises an eyebrow in his direction. I can tell by the look on his face that her defiance makes him want to do something about it. That makes two of us, but we don’t have enough time this morning since we have to go to the gym.

“I’m skipping training today. Gotta move my shit into Max’s place,” Caine announces immediately.

“Hold the fuck on, what?” I shake my head, sure I didn’t hear him right.

He just shrugs with a smug look on his face.

“Explain,” Adam demands and I see the defiance on Caine’s face, knowing he doesn’t want to tell us anything.

“I can just ask Max, she’ll tell me. Even if she doesn’t want to. I can beveryconvincing.” I raise an eyebrow in her direction.

“Then ask her, she can tell you that she asked me to move in,” Caine says easily.

“Why the fuck would she do that?” I’m taken aback. “You sure you aren’t just forcing your way into her place so you have another excuse to stalk her?”

“Ask her,” he says again, nodding in her direction before grabbing his shit to leave.

“I plan to,” I declare as he is leaving. Then I turn toward her. “You going to explain that?”

She finishes the gulp of the coffee she must have gotten as we argued and just rolls her eyes. “He needs a place, I stupidly offered. Don’t make me feel like I made more of a mistake. I’m already second guessing myself.”

“Pretty sure he’s trying to play you, baby girl,” Adam tells her.

“Guess I’ll find out. I’m going to go to the beach before heading to Danners.”

“Alone?” I question.

“Yes,alone. I’ll be okay. I have good trainers.” She winks.

“You have the best, and I want to up your training,” Adam states.

“Yes,daddy.”She rolls her eyes. It shouldn’t get my dick hard to hear her call him that, but it does and I think about hearing her scream it while he fucked her on the other side of the door from where Caine and I were standing.

“Careful,” he warns and the deep timbre of his voice has me adjusting my half mast cock at their interaction.

She blows a kiss in our direction and I watch her hips sway as she leaves the house. I turn toward Adam, “We’re just trusting her going alone?”

I’m still hesitant for her to be without any of us. Carson may be dead but her parents aren’t and Officer Doogie seems to have his sights set on her. Until we can take care of him for good I don’t trust her being alone.

“No, Danner will keep an eye on her.” He pulls his phone out, I’m sure he’s about to text her. I don’t need to question it because after what she already did with us I know we can trust her with our girl. “Let’s go.”

I shake my head at his bossiness. One of these days I’ll push him on it, but that will only be when Max is with us and can be a part of whatever punishment he wants to dole out. I know one day we will push him far enough to make it happen.

The classI’m teaching is going well, though I wish Max was here for it. Especially when Karissa calls my name and I inwardlygroan before turning to face her, keeping my face blank while she pushes her tits out.

“I need your help,” she whines.

“That’s what your sparring partner is for,” I say blankly, referring to the skinny guy she paired up with and I know he’s practiced with Max before.

“But I don’t know if I’m doing it right.” The way her tone makes her sound like she’s throwing a fit has me wanting to go shove my head through a wall having to listen to her.

“Then show me,” I gesture. She takes a step toward me and I hold my hand up stopping her. “On your partner.”

“I want to try it with someone who knows what they’re doing,” she pouts. She’s actually pouting, and I don’t know why she thinks any of this is attractive, but it isn’t at all. Even before Max came into our lives, I was never interested in her despite all her attempts.
