I can see how hard he’s forcing himself not to come. Sweat covers his face and shoulders, and his arms tremble as they cage my body. I know he’s trying to get me off first. He always does, and typically more than once. But this time, just this once, I want to watch him lose control, and know it is because of me. My blow job skills may be subpar, but I can squeeze a dick inside me like no one else.
Kegels are a girl’s best friend.
Squeezing my inner muscles, Gabe immediately stops. “What did you just do?”
“What do you mean?” I lie. “Don’t stop moving, please!”
Gabe gives me a look, like he doesn’t fully trust that I’m telling the truth, but continues moving painstakingly slowly. So I squeeze again. This time, he groans, and his eyes flutter shut. “The fuck …”
I know he’s close. His eyes open, but his gaze is unfocused. He’s muttering incoherently, his slow thrusts uneven as his hands grip mine tightly. I decide to give it all I’ve got, squeezing as hard as I can.
“What the fuck is that? How are you doing that?” he yells. “God dammit, I can’t —”
He slams into me, hitting a spot inside me that only he has ever hit, and my orgasm sneaks up on me. I cry out as I come, trying desperately to keep my eyes open so I can watch him. Watching Gabe come is breathtaking; knowing I made him unravel is icing on the cake.
Gabe collapses breathlessly on top of me, panting as we both shiver through aftershocks. “I don’t know if I should be mad at you, or ask you to do that again.”
I burst into laughter as Gabe lets go of my hands, and I wrap them around his back. “I don’t get many opportunities to blow your mind, Mr. Dawson.”
“You blow my mind every fucking day, Firecracker. It still boggles my mind that you let me love you, Future Mrs. Dawson.”
I gasp, and Gabe raises his head. “Do you know what that means?”
“Pretty sure I do, yeah,” he teases.
“No, not that part. I’m going to have the same last name as Mackenzie!” I exclaim.
Gabe gives me a sweet smile. “I was kind of hoping you’d want to adopt her.”
I think my heart stops beating.
“Baby? You okay?” Gabe asks.
“What?” I respond, the word riddled with emotion as tears fill my eyes. “You want me to adopt her?”
“Well, yeah,” he replies sheepishly with a shrug. “You’re her mama. I think we should all be one happy family. Don’t you?”
“Yes, I do.”
I never thought moving to Colorado would be the decision that changed the whole trajectory of my life. That a one-night stand would end with becoming a mom to the most perfect little girl and falling in love with the best guy I’ve ever met.
I can’t wait to tell my brothers and parents that I’m engaged! Grant will undoubtedly take responsibility for my relationship and marriage. But with the drama between him and Teagan, I don’t know if he’ll bring it up immediately.
But I’m getting ahead of myself, and I think Teagan should tell her side of things, too. I have a feeling she’ll be my sister-in-law at some point in the future, but I bet the road there is full of puck-sized bumps.
Gabe, Four Years Later
“Firecracker? Come on, we gotta go!” I shout up the stairs.
“I’m going as fast as I can,” Cassie mutters as she carefully shuffles down the stairs. “Your daughter wouldn’t pick which Wolves bow she was willing to wear.”
“I gotta match,” Mackenzie explains as she trails behind her mother. “Momma should wear one too.”
“Not happening,” Cassie says under her breath, huffing a rogue lock of hair out of her face. When she’s finally standing in front of me, she gives me a beautiful smile. “I think this is the last game I’m going to be able to come to for a bit.”
I rest my hand against her very swollen stomach, feeling my son kick my hand in response. My son. A phrase I never thought I’d say.
Cassie is currently thirty-eight weeks pregnant. In her words, she’s had an easy pregnancy. Unbeknownst to her, our daughter tells a different story.
